Party refresh: meaning?

By player433460, in WFRP Rules Questions

I have tried a search for this, but to no avail so here goes: The rules mention the party sheet refreshes when fortune points = number of PCs. Does that mean they get handed out to the PCs bringing the party sheet down to zero fortune points?

Thanks in advance!

One fortune point gets handed to each PC if they have less than three or they have an immediate use for it (eg. to speed up a recharge). So the pool might not end up as zero because some players might not get one.

Thank you for that. I could not find that anywhere in the rule books...maybe I'm getting too old :-)

To be honest, the rules on Fortune are spread across several pages, and aren't outlined very well. You have to review pages 14 & 16 I think pretty thoroughly. What's more, it never says WHAT the maximum number of fortune is; it's implied because

  1. they say at the start of a session each player receives 3 fortune
  2. They mention a maximum.

Implied is that the maximum is 3.

The "maximum fortune points" sentence was driving me mad, I searched the FAQ and the books and finally just thought, eff it, I'm calling it three- for the same reasons already mentioned here. It doesn't help that the "living" index only mentions Fortune as being on page 21 or whatever, which is just the short blurb about the Fortune Pool on the party sheet and is not even the main section on fortune in the rulebook (although it's a stretch to say there's a "main section" on fortune).
