Hi Everyone!

The Custom Card League's vassal extension is ready to rock. If you want to take a look at the cards that are in the extension, you can look at them here: Custom Cards. You can also look at them in the Aurora Squad Builder app, and start working on lists!

You can download the extension here: CCL Extension. Check it out! To activate an extension, right click on the x-wing module in vassal, choose 'add extension', and select the CCL Extension file.

The next step is the tournament. We'll be playing on Vassal, so if you want to participate and aren't familiar with that, check out how to get started here: getting started -X-wing vassal.

The rules of the tournament games are simple - matches will follow standard X-wing tournament rules, but everyone must include at least one card out of the custom cards in the extension. This could be a pilot, or an upgrade. You can have as many custom cards in your list as you want, but you must have at least one custom card in your list.

As for the format of the tournament- if we have 16 or fewer players, we'll do 4 rounds, and determine the winners by top scores. If we have more than that, then we'll cut to a top 4 after 3 games. We'll start in two weeks (Oct 11). Each round, players will have two weeks to schedule and play a game with their opponent. Games not played will be counted as losses, but if you have an unresponsive opponent, I can make exceptions or re-pairings.

The winner of the tournament will receive one small-based ship with a custom paintjob, courtesy of the Shuttle Tydirium Podcast.

I'll be taking part in the tournament, but if I win (unlikely), the prize will go to the second place player.

That's right, it takes you to 12 the round that you discard and then 0 the round after. Then the card effect ends. Is that not clear from the text?

Well it says the next round you are 0. It doesn't indicate it goes back to your original PS ever, but probably just me trying to see issues knowing they are fan made.

There is an error (my bad) in one card. The TIE/sa title should be restricted to TIE Bombers.

EDIT: forget about it. In Vassal, the card has the right text.

Just a heads up that we made some minor changes to a couple cards that haven't been reflected in Aurora yet. I need to get it updated

Some if these cards look amazingly fun to use, sadly I don't have the time to partake in the event however I would be interested to see the dials for the 5 new ships for fun games at home. The Astro that give out a free evade token would certainly be a viable boost for the T-65 and would be my choice if I could play

Hey, I wasn't able to add your extension.

Here is what i do: I right click the Star Wars module and choose Add Extension. There are 3 files in your "CCL Extension" pack "root": buildFile, extensiondata and moduledata. None has a file extension! If I select any of them, Vassal won't recognize ("No Valid Extension file").

Please give us more detailed instructions.

EDIT: oh, forget about it. The file you made available is actually a self-contained extension! I removed the ".zip" I put there and selected it - and it worked.

I'm starting to worry that the cross over between casual play of this kind and vassal might be a little lighter than I expected.
