what wizardry is this??!?! how did you get your hands on stock so early?

FFG sent stuff to a guy that does gaming content via Twitter. He took pictures.

Is it sad that I saw this and thought "Nice, comes with cardboard separators for organizing"?

No.

That would have been awesome!!!

hmm.... this actually concerns me if there is not some sort of protective material in front of the cards. It seems like the dice would wear on the face of the top card during rough handling, and it would suck to get a scratched up face.

Doesn't look to me like it can get scratched up much, movement in rough handling looks minimal.

I got excited with the space print on the cardboard, totally gonna make use of that in some way.

I highly doubt these early releases were shipped in the same way as the crates on crates will be at release. If a package takes any significant glancing force on the edges of the dice I can't see how that will not cause rubbing to the face of the card. I am honestly suprised there isn't just a plastic shrink around the cards themselves. That is all that is needed.

At least they put the rare right next to the die, so we'll have nice square shaped indentations on our good cards :)

I agree, I'm not so much worried about the card being scratched by the die, it seems to sit very firmly in its hole. I'm more worried about the cards being indented by the die. Especially when the rare is the first card...

Hey, maybe that's how you'll be able to tell the fake rares from the real rares! ;)

I'm not to worried about that as I don't see an instance in which pressure would be exerted directly in the die face forcing it into the cards.

It isn't like they are stacked one on top of each other like in a booster pack, gravity feed boxes tend to be packed fairly loose in comparison.

The issue with DM that led to card damage was two fold. Poor card stock and no rigidity in the packaging, both of which aren't an issue here.

I have no doubt that if you tried you could damage cards by pressing the dice against them, but I just don't think that circumstance will naturally occur.

I guess will see. It would be a huge issue of packaging was resulting in damage to the cards, so I hope they've done some testing.

Sits_down_471448edd10d030b15cdae5050455c What? Oh, you mean you sat your brand new unopened Destiny boosters on THIS couch?

Hope you like 'dem indents.*

*This post is 100% grounded in cynicism and pessimism, it in no way guarantees an extremely large man will find your unopened boosters and squash the hell out of them.

LOL^^^^ That made my day :)

I do what I can :)

As a human being and nerd. Gratitude!
