OK so I was thinking about flying this in a friendly game tonight:

I don't have the Raider for the Tie Advanced title, so that is a no go but outside of that do I need to change anything here?

Edit to add: Idea was to both bring back a favorite ship (TIE Phantom) and have everyone be at least PS 9

You could have a 2 point bid and probably a more capable ship if you used:

Turr Phennir (28)

-Veteran Instincts

-Auto Thrusters

Of course to replace Darth Vader. Poor Vader just doesn't have enough punch for his points without the raider fixes. Turr isn't perfect either, but he keeps your squad at 9 and gives your phantom a bid. He also has 3 attack dice and some action economy. Should be at least alright.

Put Title on Vader

Put advanced targeting computer.

Put EU on Vader

Take off VI on Vader

Take off FCS on Whisper.

Take off Sensor Cluster on QuickDraw

That would make Vader a lot more Useful. This would also make them all 9's to move in whatever order you like. Sensor Cluster isn't that big of a deal to have, and Whisper can do without FCS as long as she gets close and can cloak still.

He mentioned he didn't have the titles, so I'm guessing proxying isn't well liked by his group.

It has Quickdraw and Whisper, but we've replaced Vader with Zeta Leader, who is strictly a beater. What's more, we've switched to the gimmicky, pre-combat shot version of Quickdraw to try and help handle Soontir and other Imperial Aces, while also being scary enough to help draw fire away from Whisper.
If your opponent focuses on Quickdraw first, Whisper can last longer and possible make it into the end game. If they go for Whisper first, Quickdraw can do his double-shot trick more than once per game, which can get pretty mean.
You've got a 3 point bid, so that you can move and shoot first by giving away Initiative, weird, but it's what Quickdraw and Whisper want.

Unfortunately I just don't have at least something from any of the changes put forth, no title for advanced, no ATC, don't have the individual interceptor expansion so no Turr, don't own a mist hunter so no electronic baffle, and don't have Kallus. As for proxying, it would probably be allowed if I wanted to but I just would rather play with what I have. And now it turns out my buddy can't play tonight anyway so it will have to wait anyway. Thanks for the suggestions though.
