Jedi Starfighter Game concept

By ForceSensitive, in X-Wing

Was chatting with a good friend last night, speculating on Force Friday stuff, when we thought up this brilliant gem. Jedi Starfighter with hyperdrive ring expansion. We were joking about things that would get us to buy X-wing again and, will, we thought this would do the trick. Dropping off this and then returning to my Armada forum.

Box has a large based hyperdrive ring, and small based Jedi Starfighter. Game uses the undock rules to allow you to park the ring and leave it as an obstruction and then fly the JS around. We thought it would be awesome.

Peace, I'm out.

An obstruction with stats so you can blow it up. Instead of docking rules, some kind of new rules to dock to it, but when you un-dock you get Hero Han's ability to deploy anywhere outside of R3 of an enemy.

Sounds fun.

Anyway.

I'd love to see the Jedi Starfighter in the game as in the original Legends timeline Wedge Antilles found Obi-Wan's old one on Geonosis and brought it back to the Rebel Alliance.

If they did release it, it would be interesting to see whether they'd include the hyperdrive ring or not and if they did what advantages it could provide.

In the campaign rules I keep pretending I'll write someday, having a hyperdrive matters. In the present game, it doesn't help any other ship. It seems weird that they'd make it help one that has literally the worst hyperdrive of any hyperdrive capable fighter.

Mod: Hyper Jump Insertion

During set-up, deploy anywhere on your half of the table.

Lets Han still be cooler with his ability, but makes the hyperdrive matter. It would also help bugger Palp Aces, since most Imp starfighters are STL only.
