Updated FAQ NEEDED weeks before Worlds

By Thraug, in Star Wars: Armada

FFG, Worlds is coming up very soon (Nov 4) and we are trying to build and practice fleets and only have a few weeks left. Quite a few unresolved issues need to be in the FAQ and it would be nice for a new FAQ to be out ASAP so we know how to properly play certain cards and how certain interactions work. Please work on this ASAP. The sooner it's released the better.

here here

If you do not do so, we will be forced to nominate nominating committees for the FAQ for Presentation to FFG Committee (FAQPFFGC) and the subsequent FAQ Presentation Committee (FAQPC). Such a committee could, but certainly does not necessitate, the development of a Creation of a Future FAQ Community Rule Writing Legitimacy Committee (CFFAQCRWLC) and all that it would entail.

Down with special interest super-faqs!

I understand the concern, but there's still a lot of time between now and then (more than a month). I still say I'd rather they get the FAQ right instead of rush through important decisions.

Nothing like issuing an FAQ Ultimatum (FAQ U)

He's running a Tagge Devastator to get back his token but he still claims the extra dice.

He runs Interdictor with G-8s, Fire Control Teams, and Targeting scramblers to blow your mind.

He's got Gozantis with Slicer tools and he always asks to see your dial.

Skycake: "I turned it off bro"

Opponent: "Uh wait... Um... let's get a TO..."

Skycake: "Sigh"

TO:"hmm that's a tricky one" 10 minutes passes, opponent getting steamed... "Ok ya cake can turn it off"

Opponent: "k 3 blues.. I take 3 hits wow lucky, that destroys the advanced but let's just do the dengar counter 1"

Skycake: "uhh, counter nothing guy!"

Opponent: "what? Why not?!"

Skycake: "jamming field bra!"

Opponent: "you said you turned it off!"

Skycake: *rolleyes* "I did, for MY attack... now I'm turning it back on!"

Are you done re rolling?? Ok, targeting scrambler!

When tables get flipped it means I get to keep what I pick up!

Want and Need are two different things.

You need oxygen. You want a FAQ.

Actually, all snark aside... it's probably a good idea to clarify your rules before a major event for the game you're supporting.

I think we all want an FAQ to soothe those burning questions.

Wait, no, I NEED an FAQ. Like Oxygen.

You say that, but a lot of the current questions are about how a card by itself is supposed to function, before it even interacts with anything else. Which is something that FFG should have known before it released the card.

There are several cards that are effectively unplayable right now thanks to ambiguous wording that frankly should have been caught by testers. The most obvious and critical of those right now is Fire Control Teams, but G-8 Experimental Projectors and the stack or non-stack of cards like BCC and Targeting Scramblers are also up there. Tagge also has am odd interaction with a title and his ability raisers serious questions about how "recover" abilities might be intended work with current and future upgrades.

How is fire control teams ambiguous? Just wondering, since it seems clear to me, however I might have missed something.

So thats the first, and the first and second.

Does does that mean first, second, and third for three total, or does it mean first and first (obsolete) and second for two total.

Thats just one question.

(Personally, I feel its the first three, but as written its the two.)

And they probably do, but there are other things not of this wave they have an opportunity to tweak, if needed, and I would rather they make sure they get that right than rush to get answers for this wave. Don't get me wrong, I want one too, I just think it's a little too early to start complaining.
