While I am not generally a huge fan of Rebels content I couldn't help but notice that Wedge is apparently getting a backstory change. It looks like he's a defector now with a few other pilots, perhaps Biggs and Hobbie? They did leave the Empire together after training under Fel. It might be fun to see a new variant of these guys outside of their classic X-Wings. Thoughts?
A new pilot or 3?
Question is...would anyone *take* Wedge, Biggs, or Hobbie in a TIE Interceptor?
I mean...maybe, maybe I could see Hobbie - he'd pair pretty well with the title, targeting computer + autothruster, and PtL. Except his Rebel version didn't have an EPT, so presumably his Imperial version wouldn't, which makes him...back to junk as an Interceptor pilot.
Wedge and Biggs are less directly useless, although they've have to be a LOT cheaper than our current Interceptor pilots to get any time on the table...

If Biggs kept his ability, he could make Fel even harder to kill as you have to go through Biggs first before you can even shoot at Fel, now that would be annoying as ****. You could have Palp Palping Biggs, leaving Fel alone to do what Fel does.

How exactly is reducing agility at the people you're shooting that worthless?
Or are you just doing a very poor attempt at trolling?

Sure, but Biggs in a TIE ? Those things are stupidly fragile - you sneeze wrong and they explode!
As mentioned, it really depends on his price. A Biggsterceptor at 25 points? LOLno - you can keep him! At 20 points (presumably with some PS reduction owing to less experience)? Ehhhhh... maybe .

Because TIE Interceptors are not jousters, they are arc-dodgers.
You don't get value for their points by facing an enemy head-on and landing more hits on them than they land on you, which is what an X-Wing does better. Rather, they are only worth their points if you can use maneuvering to prevent the enemy from shooting on you at all .
This is why practically all the named Interceptor pilots have abilities that are maneuver-based. Because a TIE Interceptor lives or dies by its maneuvering .
None of Biggs, Wedge, or Hobbie do anything to improve an Interceptor's ability to dodge enemy arcs completely.
Wedge in a Squint, heck yes.
Biggs in a Squint... probably? Is 2 shields and IA worth an agility, the evade action, and autothrusters (plus the option of Stealth Device)? I dunno, probably pretty much of a wash.
Hobbie: Yes if he gets and EPT, no if he doesn't, but then, the same is pretty much true of Hobbie already
Those Pilots in a tie interceptor dont need to have the same ability. Boba, kath and Sabine have shown, That in they come to a other faction they get a new ability
Wedge in a 'ceptor?? (with same ability?)
I will be waiting, salivating, thanks... I don't care if it's useful...

Wedge into an Interceptor at 20 points? And you say "maybe"?
Don't wanna be rude, but are you kidding? 20 points is a price of a standard Protectorate. And you want a PS9 Interceptor with the Wedge ability at that cost....yeah, sure.
Maybe try again to fly Interceptors, until you can manage them :-/
Anyway, actually: nope. I don't wanna see Imperial ships into Rebel Factions, or vice-versa. Ok, they do it with Sabine TieFighter: that's all.
Maybe with the scum faction we can do it, but not between rebels-empire. It will be boring, imho.
Edited by CerveWhen Boba Fett joined another faction we didn't hear 'boo'. Give the Rebels a single TIE Fighter and now we're looking for opportunities for cross faction play.
- Just to be sure (as secondary language doesn't communicate well in text form) this post is not meant as an insult to the OP, rather a little observational joke .. but by having to explain the joke it loses any comedic effect. So please don't read this last bit. Well, read it, but don't read it at the same time.

Well, actually, Boba was an error. He was never an Imperial pilot, simply FFG doesn't thought about a third faction at the time. So they guess to fit him into the Imperial was fine.
Then they added the Scum faction, so...
Wedge, Tycho? Boooring.
(although Tycho would be a great in an Interceptor)
We want new ship for the lady in the middle:
(yes, I'm 90% sure it's her, just with natural hair colour)
That's a chick so no Biggs, but the other guy could still be Hobbie, he is a blonde.

Hmm it's early for him but then again Wedge never used to be an Imperial... Maybe.

What?
No. No more TIEs for the Terrorists!! I was hoping for an Imperial-pre-defector Wedge.
They... they will do something filthy, like painting them yellow!

I want the pacman Tie!!!
But yeah, stop sharing ships between factions.
They could be in A-Wings.

I also like it, and i will buy it for my wife, who liked it a lot when we saw Rebels...
But this trend has to stop...
Why waste precious game design putting these guys in fickle ties when they could be in REAL ships
Like the ARC

You have a point in regards to Biggs in an interceptor (theoretically).
However you've missed the mark for Wedge imo. I think alot of people would play Wedge in an interceptor. PTL, focus/evade for defence and just leverage his text for offence.

So Sabine is defecting the Empire now?
(no, I don't think it's her)
(no, I don't think it's her)
I don't think so, either.
They re-use models a lot, as the creation of a 3d model is one of the more expensive things in the show (resulting in characters re-used where they otherwise might not be - although sometimes for comical effect, RE: Brom Titus - and the majority of the characters being the 'generic' guys whose eyes are hidden by hats or helmets)
This is probably a new character that they just used one of the earlier 3d models for Sabine for, and simply replaced the textures on it.
