Runs like a Scum version of Palp Aces. My question is what other ways can you think of to build/run this.

I have been tossing and turning with these exact pilots. I was about to post my own manny and the Mando's thread, but this will suit me fine.

There is Bumpa FeTe - 99 points

Fenn Rau (34)
Protectorate Starfighter (28), Push the Limit (3), Concord Dawn Protector (1), Autothrusters (2)

Old Teroch (30)
Protectorate Starfighter (26), Veteran Instincts (1), Concord Dawn Protector (1), Autothrusters (2)

Contracted Scout (35)
JumpMaster 5000 (25), Intelligence Agent (1), R5-P8 (3), Feedback Array (2), Intimidation (2), Anti-Pursuit Lasers (2)

And Manny and the Mando's - 100 points

Fenn Rau (34)

Protectorate Starfighter (28), Push the Limit (3), Concord Dawn Protector (1), Autothrusters (2)

Old Teroch (30)
Protectorate Starfighter (26), Veteran Instincts (1), Concord Dawn Protector (1), Autothrusters (2)

Manaroo (36)
JumpMaster 5000 (27), Push the Limit (3), Recon Specialist (3), Unhinged Astromech (1), Feedback Array (2)

I have put VI on Teroch to try and ensure his Pilot Ability is used, there seems to be mostly PS 8 Aces about at the moment so PS 9 bid should see him right. The JM5K has completely different roles in either list, they have been seen a lot before so i wont go into that. I want to play Fenn as an arc dodger, he gets an extra die no matter if he is in arc or not, and Teroch is supporting Fenn trying to ensure any ship they are going after is tokenless.

I dont know if I have been subconsciously Pavlov's dogged at my FLGS and hate fighting /x7's and figure this is the best way to kill them. But what would you choose? the Bumpa FeTe or my Version of Manny and the Mando's for me?

Manaroo is by far the better option IMO. You get almost as much bumping ability, but you also get to chuck giant token stacks at people.

I have been kicking around whether to give VI or PTL to Teroch. Both have their merits. Maybe running all the pilots with mindlink would be useful?

this is better and kind of a combination of all of the above. This is more competitive.

or for more fun, try

Manaroo (36)

Which let's you either add flechette or seismic torpedoes to someone (manny maybe, so that she can bite as well as pass tokens)

if you want a bumper, get antiPursuit Lasers

I worry about how long Old Teroch can last since he'll be trying to line up range 1 arc shots, he'll hit hard, but he'll need a TL and focus to do so, and he'll still be getting TL range 1 shots back and range 2 shots, etc.

I wonder how a Stay On Target Kad Solus would perform, with 3 focus tokens and TL, he may survive longer.

I had a very similar tussle between VI and Fearlessness. VI won out because he needs to go last to make sure he is in arc and at range 1, if he goes at 7, the likes of Omega Leader, The Inquisitor etc will just barrel roll away from arc to avoid his great ability.

@Buckero0, your list is exactly the same as mine except you have used K4. I prefer Rec Spec so you can pass off your 2 Foci plus a TL to either pilot that has done a K Turn or a Tallon Roll. If Teroch is indeed at range 1, he may need a second focus to modify some bad green die.

So i ran a version of the list last night. Worked very well. Ran against a Corran/Chopper list and only lost Terry (RIP). Fenn and Manny were untouched.

BMST comes in handy. Plus with EI you can use ot and still pass a focus & target lock every turn.

OP; if you have Manaroo in your list already, drop PTL on the Fangs and go with Fearlessness; it adds a dice and Manaroo give them the other tokens that they need. It also gives you 4 points to dump back into Manaroo.

I like the idea of the extra damage output from Fearlessness, but I found I needed PTL on Fenn for the barrel roll and boost in same turn. Ditto VI to get Teroch positioned and shooting early.

I'm looking forward to trying this build but I wonder about using a more offensive Manaroo. Like, Deadeye/Plasma/Extra Munitions/RecSpec/Chips. The squad has a more early-game firepower, and she can still feed double focus tokens to somebody when needed or when she has no torp shot. And fear of eating her torpedoes might buy an extra round or two for optimally positioning the Fangs while the opponent shoots at Manny.

Been running a tweak of my original list.

Not sure what to use for the extra 4 points but it has been flying very well as is. Mindlinked Fangs are incredibly tanky. Not Soontir tanky mind you. Although they do have an offense that the Baron can only dream of. Plus ending up at Range 1 with 2 focus and a TL is amazing. Especially with Fenn's 5 dice. And defending you get a focus plus the title (when triggered). And with the decline of TorpScouts i think this list will be able to stand on its own two feet and hopefully hold its own.

Here's to Manny and the Mandos. May they live to fly another day.

97/100

Just because you run Attanni Mindlink you don't have to put AM on all ships. I tried Manaroo Fenn and a Partybus and I discovered that just Mana and Fenn works pretty well.

If you need to boost Teroch, just pass the focus and the Lock onto him. Fenn can take a focus from Manaroo and makes a focus action if he needs to turtle up.

Most of all, Teroch still PS9 in this build, without losing the support of Manaroo. In that way, you can boost both the ships without losing VI on the Old (mindlink for Fenn, Manaroo ability for Teroch). Then you will adapt considering the game.

Settings on Manaroo can change. I have to try Jammers just because I don't trust on 98/100 (I need a bigger bid, expecially in this list) but 4 points seems too much even for me. Most of all, you can use Manaroo as a blocker, and can protect Teroch with her body (Maybe you are lacking focus tokens or wanna pass those on Rau). Anyway, Settings on Manaroo are free but Mindlink.

Oh and Teroch and Fen can Tallon Roll free without stressing each other!
