Sure it'd be cool to have new alien races as heroes, but also I think it would be nice if there were more of the ones we already have. It's a bit weird to me having just a single one representing each race while the humans get all sorts of diverse characters.

Not weird that just how the universe has played out. In Star Wars humans started out not just on one planet but many including various subspecies of human. Where as say wookies originate on one planet and very few have a real desire to ever leave it.

Basically its alot like real life where humans outnumber almost every other animal by hundreds if not thousands.

From a game perspective human beings tend to relate better to humans/humaniods hence why humans/twileks/denvarodians and wookiees feel better to play as heros as opposed to say a wampa.

I understand that it makes statistical sense, I just think that it would be more interesting to have, say, a couple of different Wookiees or a couple of different Mon Calamari etc., and I think that in game design you can tweak the statistics a bit in order to have a more fun and diverse set of characters. It's not the fact that there are more humans than anything else, it's that every other race is represented by a single character as if e.g. Bothans can only be sneaky spies and nothing else. It doesn't really bother me, I just think there's some unused potential there.

Yeah they never tell us in RotJ that the Bothans were spies. For all we know, an MC-80's worth of them were sent to get the Death Star II plans!

Chiss Snipers!!

Since we assume it'll be on Endor, why not a Gorax ?

Should be able to make it fit in the scale of the game...

Bare in mind that any small box missions bed to be able to be slotted into a large campaign do anything too specific to an event would not be viable.

Tbh, I'm hoping that if they do keep with rotj material, then put the small box on the moon with the stupid ewoks, and leave the big box for a trip to the death star. I've heard that there was an EU story about IG88 taking over the death star, and that would be a great story to borrow elements of. Plus more droids.

Personally I would like to see more Twi'lek. They are, I believe, nearly as populas and widespread as humans. A non-Jedi female or male would be nice. Even an ally if not a primary hero.

Maybe they'll base it off the ewok movies and we'll get an ewok shaman, female shape-shifting witch and a bunch of kids.

Don't forget Teek and Noa.

But for real. I want this guy as a hero character.

I can seem them making an Ewok hero, actually. I don't like it, but I can see it.

They already missed the opportunity to make an interesting Jawa hero in Jabba's Palace. I could make do with Yub Yub, Hero of the Rebellion!

One day I'll sit down to play imperial assault with all the might of the empire behind me.... and I'll be facing a ewok, jawa, ugnaught and gungan. On that day I might shed a tear before I crush them.

It could be a non-jedi, force users Ewok shaman. Then that could be the theme, and we could get Zuckuss too.

You will shed a tear because you regret that you'll have to destroy such beautiful creatures? ;) ;) :P

Better will be at the end of the game when he's lost

I personally hope its NOT the forest moon of Endor. I'd like to see some new creation like the Underworld of Nar Shaddaa, Coruscant Impirial operations, or any of the many other planets in the Star Wars Universe. How about a Deathtrooper, Zombie game or a Bounty Hunter game of capture the Rebels for the Empire or Kill an Imperial Officer for the Rebels. If they go with the forest moon, it feels like it would be over and then move on to Force Awakens type game. IDK, JMO

I'm with you, I think we have enough forest tiles (we're getting more in Jabba's Realm on the flip side) I'd rather get some Deathstar tiles and other terrain tiles.

I'd love to see them flesh out some of the other planets (look at the Rebellion board) Ryloth, Rodia, Toydaria, Utapau, Dathomir, etc.

I like the idea of Zombie attack. kind of like the Sand People attack in one of those early maps.

I'd love a lesser known planet, but I think it is unlikely that we won't get Endor next.

The thing about Endor is you can do tree city pieces and not just forest floor pieces like the core set. Having multiple paths that you can shoot across from one to the other certain makes for interesting play, in my opinion. In this way, both Endor and Kashyyyk can be represented, and we can have what was supposed to happen in Return of the Jedi before Lucas decided he needed something for the kiddies. I don't know if any of you played Star Wars Battlegrounds, but the mission where Han and Chewbacca go to Kashyyyk to free it from the Empire was a great scenario in the campaign.

Not that anyone cares about canon, but the problem with a Death Star based scenario for the heroes is that nobody but Luke went there. I agree, however, with having some Nar Shadda tiles. I would prefer stuff that didn't dovetail with the films, because there is a whole war going on outside of the film's characters, but alas, you got move units.

Scenarios for the death star (all pre-rotj):

Attempt to stall construction time to prevent weapon from being built on time

Attempt to assassinate Palpatine (remember they don't know he's got force powers)

Sabotage construction leaving critical vulnerability in defense systems - necessitating the shield but also allowing the trench run mk II to succeed.

Consolation prize for the attempts not working out: taking out a certain royal guard champion who would other wise ruin the mission on Endor somehow. Have a great scene in the emperor's chambers where he's like "you expected the emperor, but it was I, Carnor!"

I can live with that idea. Additionally it gives a chance to have an escape the death star with the death star location and the authorization codes that many Bothans died to get.

While I was quite happy with them not following the movies before Jabba's was announced, at this point I think they've really got to finish up with Endor.

Based on that, my guess:

Box

2 x new heroes. One human, one alien. The 'explosives expert' people have suggested sounds like a good pick for the human. Alien, possibly an Ewok? Would they do another Wookie?

4 x Scout Troopers, 2 to a group. No Bikes, they don't fit.

4 x filler, either <insert race here> Scum or maybe some droids or something. I don't think we'd get Navy Troopers or another form of Officer, which would be about all we saw on Endor.

Expansion packs

General Solo - Pretty much guaranteed.

Zuckuss and 4-LOM - It really doesn't make sense for them not to finish up the bounty hunters, and these guys make sense as a two pack.

OC Imperial Villain - Not sure what it would be based on, as we've already had a 'boss' version of most units. Maybe a (female) officer? Feels a little generic though.

Ewok Warriors - I don't see much reason to give us Rebel Commandos in Jabba's if it's not to make space for future Rebel figures, and Ewoks are the obvious choice.
