Who remembers that 3 or so days when that old timer (pretty sure he called himself an older gentlemen, not sure how else to distinguish him) came on here and posted page long posts about how awful FFG was, and he made multiple threads about it? That was a weird, weird moment in forum history. He came and he went pretty quick though.

I'll just add a couple more cents to what I think could be a worthwhile thread in some way.

I like JBR7's presence on these forums. He's a colorful character who plays the role of comic relief well most of the time and is clearly enthusiastic about the game and usually positive. Fist bump brah!. I didn't mind PGS' contributions all that much ... but I knew not to cross swords with him so I never felt his scorn. Crotchety, cantankerous characters have their place here too. Unless you're being insulted by them, then they are crossing a line.

What bothers me is when people pile on to somebody. It happens sometimes to newbies and it's terrible ambassadorship for the game.

What also bothers me is when colorful characters derail useful discussion in a particular thread with their shtick.

Anyway. I hate to see people banned.

I believe so, but the only other crazy thing I can remember is that weird hack that happens here where one profile posted a bunch of forums for like an hour. Any of you remember that? It was hilarious how everyone kept posting in the Rebels thread to keep it at the top.

Oh ya I only caught the butt end of that. Was pretty crazy to jump on the forums just to see a ton of Chinese (I think Chinese?) characters filling the board with some sparse topics titled things like "help! I'm drowning!" and the like in between.

"Brah", you're insulting an article written by a three time world champion, for whom a lot of us have utmost respect. In fact he seems like a cool guy and I'm sure he doesn't get paid to write these articles. A lot of people already posted in the designated thread that they find his thoughts insightful. No matter if they are beneficial to you, I find your behaviour harmful to the community. You're forcing a division wherever possible. Now I understand when you attack people once they claim that tournament-style is the only good one, but this is a "strategy article". Some people like such theorycrafting, even casual players (among which I count myself). Some people just like to know what's on Paul's mind. So... even if you have nothing beneficial to say ... show a little respect please.

Well we used to respect him until the whole Roanoke debacle where he killed fly casual.

I liked fly casual he didn't deserve to get knifed in the back down that dark alley, screaming "don't knife me bro".

And his replacement git gud is kinda a jerk.
