PGS was if nothing honest, brutally so true but I respect honesty even if I don't agree on his opinion.

He was definitely NOT HONEST. Honestly should also frame the ability to scrutinize and evaluate one's own opinions and biases. Something that PGS never took time to doing.

Any sort of factual arguing with him also tended to get no response, and his own facts are basically clickbait writing style. Meant to convey an absolute truth that is not anywhere near the case.

He gets no sympathy from me.

He wasn't honest, he was a troll. He frequently and consistently took positions and made statements purely to provoke, not out of anything resembling reasoned belief. It was impossible to discern his true thoughts from his posts.

but ****, he was a steadfast ally in the grim dark days of wave 5, when the PWTs ruled and the game was overshadowed by how ******* horrible they made it

to hear he's gone a mere few days after FFG finally releases what the PWT always should've been

Have 4 ships with the same PS? Move first and then take actions. No problem. But it is a problem. It violates the rules.

People's problems with PGS were that he would take this situation and weaponize it, i.e. let you do it this way the first few turns, then as soon as you were in combat range he would rules lawyer you. I remember him talking proudly about doing just that. If you legitimately have a problem with the way someone plays, tell them. Don't sit on it until you can gain an advantage off of it. Yes the rules support you in that situation. It also makes people never want to play you again because you just became that guy.

Agreed. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, when I joined this forum I was pleasantly surprised by how mellow the majority of posters were. Tipperary was one of the exceptions.

Funnily enough there's not actually anything in the TOS preventing duplicate accounts. I presume dupes that engaged in whatever got the original banned would also be banned, but aside from that it's not like the forums have a lot of moderation (which I guess Joe is a continuing example of *shrug*)

I'd talked to Tipperary a bit both before and after the ban, I think he burnt out afterwards and stopped playing. Certainly hasn't kept up the What We Know posts on the blog he made after, or done anything with prequel ships.
