Okay, JBR7 has finally descended to PGS's level of pointless "contributors". Hopefully one day he'll do something stupid enough to get banned, but until then, it's a tight race for who's most deserving of the ignore list.
I know you believe you're some bastion of casual play amidst a sea of slaves to the competitive format, but you're not. You're just a douchenozzle perpetuating the asinine idea that casual and competitive cannot co-exist within the same community.
You can enjoy the game your own way but this "one moron war" against anybody enjoying competitive X-wing is absurd. I know it's a struggle to believe, but there is no correct kind of fun to have with this game.
So please, I'm begging you, stick to the only thing you're good at, and make cool star wars emoticons. I promise you, the internet will continue without your self-obsessed obnoxiousness.

I'm hardly a meta peep. I like playing in tournaments, but not enough to take an optimized list. I play what I like.
But you are unable to comprehend is that there are no competitive players going out of their way to trash casual players. If someone asks about a ship or combo, often they'll get responses from players that view the game through a competitive lens.
Nobody cares if you only play casual. So why do you you take it as a personal insult when anyone acknowledges that competitive X-wing exists. It just comes across as petty and wildly insecure.
As for complaining that the article didn't help you specifically. If Paul was trying to reach you, he probably would've PM'd the article directly to you.
But sit down, I've got a revelation for you: Not everyone playing this game has been playing for years. If ANYONE learns something from these recent, beginner friendly articles, then they have value.

Throwing shade is dangerous business. Sometimes people throw some back at you.
Even being a casual player, you must have some new players that need to learn this right? And for the large part, I get lots of casual players who don't understand this aspect of play. In fact, I'd reckon the large majority of this forum actually doesn't understand this at all.
Also it kind of makes my game night unfun when players throw tantrums and scream when they think their dice or my dice are more or less favored... They don't even see it when it happens to them that turn after turn I'm blocking them and denying them their actions and focuses.
