I enjoy running the Ghost in various configurations but I have noticed that survivability is an issue with its agility of zero. Normally people get around this by running it with Kanan as pilot or with Biggs (or both) but Kanan comes with his own problems. He is basically wedded to his Focus action meaning the crazy reds portion of the dial is out of bounds and stress-inducers can really hurt him.
I like the combination of Lothal Rebel and Hera crew for its agressiveness but it melts under any pressure. One thing I have noticed is that I frequently suffer attacks that cause 3 or more points of damage. That makes me think Reinforced Deflectors would be a good choice. The only downside is that I normally like to stick FCS in the system slot to make the most of those big primary guns. So I looked for other sources of Target Locks (which the Rebels have aplenty) and came up with the following list idea.
45 Lothal Rebel (35), Reinforced Deflectors (3), Hera (1), Chewie (4), ABT (2)
26 Biggs (25), R4-D6 (1), IA (0)
29 Dutch (23), TLT (6)
The combination of Reinforced Deflectors and Chewie should keep the Ghost alive for quite a while, even after Biggs goes down. Dutch acts as a TL provider to make up for the loss of FCS and also carries a TLT for added punch. He also sticks close to Biggs for defense as long as possible. The idea is to keep the Ghost pounding away with those big primary guns for as long as possible, pulling whatever Red maneuvers are necessary and compensating for the loss of actions with Dutch.
Norra with Weapons Engineer would probably be better but I cannot shave off enough points to fit her into the squad so I will stick with Dutch.
Am I crazy or does the idea have mileage?
