Sorry but per page 4 of the FAQ:

"Acquiring a Target Lock - When acquiring a target lock, a player must first declare the intended target. Then, he measures range to the declared target to see if the target is within legal range. If the target is in range, the ship performing the action must acquire a target lock on the target. If the target is not in range, the player may declare a different target, or he may declare a different action."

Interesting, guess I missed that in the most recent FAQ. Good to know.

Funny a common mistake is not reading the card completely :)

Also, You guys missed that the Snap shot states,

After an enemy ship executes a maneuver, you may perform this attack against that ship.
Attack: Attack 1 ship. You cannot modify your attack dice and cannot attack again this phase.
No Corran 3 attacks.
Update:
Sorry I was wrong. I have played too many games. By phase I guess they mean during the activation phase I was thinking turn.
So Corran with 3 attacks would be sweet!
