Now that the vectored thrusters upgrade is now avaliable which do you choose for your modification.

Engine Upgrade to boost (4 Points) or

Vectored thrusters to barrel roll (2 Points)

Both abilities are great and situational to the ship you are flying but points aside which do you pick and why ....

I much prefer barrel roll to boost, except in the case of Autothrusters. So for me, assuming the ship had neither naturally, vectored thrusters.

arcs just feel better with VTs

Must be due to flexible formation flying with Biggs

Also good for aux arc shenanigans

It all depends on the ship. I'd want to take vectored thrusters on Tycho and TLT carriers. Most others, I'd prefer Engine Upgrade, though price also is a factor.

I'm with Jadoch; Barrel Roll over Boost on small ships. Lateral movement is amazing.

I love Vectored Thrusters on my TLT Y-Wing. Repositioning to get a shot off or avoid a range 1 shot is amazing.

VT is SSO!

It's situational, however vt can almost give you as much forward movement as a bank boost, sans the bearing change.

Eu is much better for large bases with limited turning options.

Im looking forward to running vectored thrusters, auto blaster turret, and PTL on Kavil.

My experience is that boost is much better for low pilot skill, and barrel roll better the higher your pilot skill is. If I were picking one for say, a rookie x wing pilot, I would rather have boost. For someone like wedge, I'd rather have barrel roll. I find that I use the a wings boost all the time for example, and wouldn't use a barrel roll nearly as much if it had both. Boost is also great at getting that extra movement after using a green on my rebel ships. On small bases at least.

So, what do you think would be better on an Auzituck? VT or EU? Why? The trouble I'm having is when people get behind me.

I'm kind of inclined to say boost as it can change your facing, though the BR's "sliding" can give you some good coverage too. Combined with VT's reduced price, it feels like the more economical choice that doesn't sacrifice too much.

I have the points to go to EU, or I could bump my PS 10 Poe to PS 11.

I think part of this is how I fly the Wookie. I should probably fly it more like a turret and keep it offset a bit, banking a little bit here and there and not straight up jousting with it.
