Are we missing something, or is the Stormchild 100% the same as the regular Hand Cannon in virtually every way?

The small bit of text describing it says that it can be used as a Club in melee combat instead of an improvised weapon. Other than that it's identical to the regular handcannon.

The point of the Stormchild is to say that this particular handcannon is manufactured and most commonly used in the Calixis sector. In other words, it's a piece of equipment that has a pre-generated background to it. Though it might not be readily apparent, that background info has its uses ("Hey! What's a Stormchild doing here on Armageddon?")
