I am new to X-Wing, and I only have 2 X-Wing fighters, 2 tie fighters, and 1 tie fighter advance. I plan to get the Heroes of the Resistance expansion, and wanted to know if anyone could suggest a fair match for the Imperial forces. I am not interested whether the generations match up, but I just want to have even squadrons for fair play. Thanks.

2 Ties and an advanced doesn't give you a lotto work with. Maybe pick up Imperial Veterans as you can add a bomber and Defender plus cool upgrades to your list. Then maybe you will have enough to make up a squad.

unorthodox but should be a match for any rebel list you could make that doesn't include that falcon, and even with it it'll be close.

I second imperial vets.....then to even the fight against the falcon you can let the empire bring an extra tie fighter or some free ordinance if you still feel rebels have the advantage. If you don't like the vet set then maybe the decimator so you can have two heavy hitters with turret options.
