Put this together back when the strikers came out as my main issue with it was lack of any real firepower. Initially Vader had Juke and EU, but it just never pushed the damage through. Swarmleader gave Vader that kind of firepower, though it meant either losing EU, dropping Mk2 on Maarek (with PTL no thanks), or not using Maarek or Juno (again no thanks since the other pilots are hot garbage in this scenario). SD keeps him alive a bit longer than usual atleast.

Its just that 1 extra die that makes a difference, i dont even need the full power of swarm leader. Pretty much every time i won with this list, that singular extra die i managed to harvest from an evade token is why i won.

It has many issues, but its thematic. Biggest issue isnt even the list, its the V formation lol. Thats hard to turn with....

I don't know if there is overlap between the episodes in which Sabine flew a TIE fighter and when she flew with Phoenix squadron - my Rebels-fu is not so great. So is this thematic? It sure is fun! You have to gloss 'Green Squadron' as 'Phoenix Squadron' though.

This one I like, too. It's very thematic and has good synergy. But the Upsilon is difficult to play, so I still don't think it's competitive. The nicest touch is that the three TIEs are all from the same squadron, and I think they're supposed to fly in groups of three.

It hurts me to no end that I haven't been able to make a solid list only using "Rebels" characters. Something like:

Chopper with Hera and Zeb in the Ghost / Ezra and Kanan in the Phantom / Sabine in the TIE

Sprinkle in a Phoenix Squadron A-Wing for flavor

I found it to be lacking in gimmicks - you had to rely on the raw power (and dice) of the ships - which, perhaps pre-nerf, might have been viable(...?) - but with everything around at the moment, perhaps not.

Looks fantastic though!

You can actually fit all four ships if you strip the Pathfinder right down.

Quite exactly what I play. The only two differences are C-3PO ISO Chewie and Wired ISO VI.
