Fleet created with Armada Warlords
There's no Intel, so the squadrons will lock pretty easily. No upgrades, so the ships won't outclass other ships. Lots of builds should do it.
Expect that list has upgrades on the assault frigates. Both had the same: boosted comms, flight controllers and ecm.
Haha Shadow you weren't at Australian Nationals by any chance? ![]()
I wouldn't be too quick to write this list off too quickly, it defeated an entire continent. ![]()
Raiders + ISD?
Raiders for screening the fighters and ISD to shoot down the frigates. Or you could mix things up and go straight for the transports, then mop up the rest of the fleet. In theory at least.

Yeah, unless he's takiing a 49 point bid, there's bound to be at least 30 points of upgrades floating around in there somewhere, and that would change my appraisal slightly. This is why accurate reporting is necessary. It isn't merely about the unit selection but what you're putting on them.
I'd take a bunch of Imperial anti-squadron elements (Soontir & friends). Of course that hobbles you against any list that isn't quite as bomber-heavy. ![]()
Lacking a bit too much information about the list to really say much. Couple of MC-80 with Intel officers, Gunnery team and X-17 turbolasers? Maybe backed up by a Nebulon B Escort frigate? Lots of long range firepower, plenty of anti squadron dice. Certainly something a bit different to mess around with me thinks!

As others have noted there is a whole lot of points missing, I took the approach that the Guppies would be using the Squadrons to keep ships at arms length, so I added Boosted Comms and Flight Controllers. So I am not too sure it needed intel. In fact I am fairly sure it gets worse if you add Intel.
I also have a sneaky suspicion that the list was designed to have a good shot at the Imperial lists with 6 Aces (4 with scatter). I shudder as to what it may have done against a fleet with just a token Squadron component.
It also has enough Anti-Squadron and Anti-Ship dice that it is quite versatile, if can fake with the Y-Wings suffer a turn of combat and then hit you with pretty much everything and the kitchen sink.
In terms of an overview I would be looking at a list that has a very strong fighter component or some Jamming Fields.
As a place to start:
I have a bad feeling about this

I play a similar list and can confirm that Intel is unnecessary if the AFIIs have flight controllers. Intel would just get targeted early without escorts to keep it around. The speed of the A-Wings controls the location and tempo of the initial squadron scrum, allowing you lock down and kill enemy squadrons on your terms. The bombers then move into the openings. I personally use 4x H6s in place of the Y-Wings, but I can see both getting free by spreading out the threat.
More importantly, though, did Garm seriously win Australian Nationals?! **** YEAH!
Edited by TruthinessA few tricks an opponent would use with this fleet:
The AFmk2 go toilet bowl and tag team the biggest threat.
The transports slow roll behind the squadrons. When engagement occurs, they go off like mini-claymores and sandpaper whatever catches the Y wings. This makes killing squads a lot harder as all of yours will be getting poked by 3 transports as well as Y wings or A wings.
The high number of transports means they would probably run one away just in case the AFmk2s get smoked. Then you don't get to table them and have to deal with those Y wings.
What upgrades are on those frigates makes a huge difference in how I approach that fleet.
