So I know one of the best applications of M9-G will be to target lock your own sides' ships with te droid so you can get pseudo-Predator for that ship (or ships if Weapons Engineer is used)...but I do suggest people watching out if they are facing TIE Defender pilot Vessery since it seems like he will be able to get a free TL on those that are TLed by M9G8.

Am I right to be cautious in this case, or would Vessery only trigger if fellow Imperial target locks were on his target?

Well the poor droid is still better than R3astro...

And as long as I'm right on this, I guess you can always just TL Vessery instead of your allies.

While it is a scary thought, most Vessery build revolve on target locks on enemy ships anyway. If that is the case you "could" still just target lock your own ships since Omega Leader, Vader, and Inquisitor will most likely have a target lock on your ship anyway. Granted that is still a risky move bit it might hurt them more.

However if the M9-G8 ship is still in play late game as well as Vessery by himself then always target lock him. Make HIM reroll his good dice instead of the bad for a change.

Why? at worst you're giving vess secondary targeting options (assuming the m9g8 target isn't the focus). If it's really what he wants to shoot there should be friendly TL's in place anyway...................
