Just wondered, Jan Ors crew says "Once per round, when a friendly ship at range 1-3 performs a focus action or would be assigned a focus token, you may assign an evade token instead."

Recon Specialist says "When you perform a focus action, assign 1 additional focus token to your ship."

Q1. When Recon Specialist is played can you assign two evade instead of two focus with Jan Ors?

I think, yes. (But am on brandy now)

Q2. Can you do it to your own ship?

I think, yes again.

Q1: No, Jan Ors says "Once per round", which means she can only affect 1 token.

Q2: Yes, "friendly ship" includes yourself.

As stated. Jan works "once per round" so taking a Focus Action enhanced by Recon Specialist assigns a Focus token twice of which Jan can affect one.

Jan works on a "friendly ship." There are other abilities that work on "another friendly/allied ship" which can not be used by the ship they are on.
