I would recommend playing the campaigns that come in the books for the two big ships. It teaches you a bit about Epic rules in smaller point games. You get to test out the ships, too. It takes less time to set up and is played on 3x3 maps. It's a lot easier. Also, they are pretty cool.

Oh definitely, since we finally got some players together we are planning on the CR-90 missions, a few others then Epic. Finally people down this way are coming around.
