I've bought 4. I wouldn't necessarily say it was a total waste, because I did have some fun games and even successful results in casual 120-point matches. Most notably, a mini-swarm with a Slaver w/ Ion projector/Tactician paired with 4 Scyks: a PS2 Ion cannon, PS2 Flechette cannon, PS5 Predator Ion cannon, and PS5 Predator Flechette cannon. It had a couple fleeting successes.
I'm not holding my breath, but I've heard a podcast interview with Alex Davy lamenting just how inefficient the Scyk ended up. So there's a glimmer of hope yet.

Mindlink & Mangler TPVs with TLT & Boba Palob are great fun and catch people out all the time. I have three M3-As and no regrets about picking them up. They suit the way I like to play and even if they are not cutting edge of the meta they are far from as bad as a lot of people make out.
Mindlink manglers with Palob is def the way to go. But theyd be much better if that list could also fit hull upgrade.s
I saw a suggestion recently that the title should add a shield as well as a weapon slot. That might be a bit much, but if it added an extra hull I think you'd have your go-to Scum small base ship.

I don't necessarily think they're inherently bad, they just are way too squishy for their point cost. Mindlink helps a little, but only for the PS5s.

He triggers from the TPV's Manglers. Boba has no, "you," restriction, he just requires the defender to eat a face up damage card.

Ship would be decent if it came with an extra hull when you equip the heavy title.

Scyks were dead on release and meanwhile they are merely a joke like Fel's Wrath.

Attanni Mindlink Heavy Scyk swarms are the terror of Epic play.
TPV isn't even the cheapest option for SnapShot swarms. Looking at a Green Squad A-wing and a TPV Scyk, I just cannot possibly understand what the designers were thinking with the poor Scyk. The A-wing gets an extra hull and the best dial in the game for the same freaking price. Loses 2 pilot skill (1 with adaptability now).
