Manaroo, Fenn Rau and Old Teroch(Ideas?)

Hi,

Here is one squad I have been theorycrafting and would like tonget some forum input for this, so throw me with pros and cons!!!

So there is 2p initiative bid or those can be used for something else.

Here is my optional upgrades what I was thinking. R5-P8 for Manaroo to make it bit more unwanted target, K4 security droid instead of Recon Specialist with Unhinged Astromech, Hull Upgrade or Auto Thrusters for Fenn Rau and Old Teroch..

So hit me!!!!

As far as Rau/Teroch goes: First, autothrusters all the way. 4/5 defense dice is good, certainly, but at range 1 (which is where they want to be) it's going to last at most one or two shots. Autothrusters helps them against turrets and against ships that like to avoid getting in close with them. Plus they're cheaper.

I'd also reccomend an EPT change. Teroch wants VI so he can be sure to catch stuff in his arc during the Combat phase; otherwise Soontir and Carnor are going to laugh at him. Rau really, really, really wants PTL. (Dropping the stealth devices to autothrusters pays for it). You get full mods at range 1 if you want them, it's got the greens to make it work, and you can arc dodge if neccessary (or boost into range 1 and focus).

As far as Manaroo goes, you absolutely want unhinged if you're using PTL; she's way too predictable without it. Recon specialist is OK on her, particularly in support builds, but Gonk or even int agent are also good on her. The latter has the benefit of getting you a 3 point bid, which with two PS 9s in your list is vital. The other option is to swap BMSTs for Feedback Array; it depends how much you plan on using here as a blocker.

Is what im planning on trying. VI for ol' Terry to put him at 9 and PTL for Fenn and k4/unhinged for Manaroo so she can potentially focus/br/tl each turn. Im still a little iffy on the titles because id rather not be in their arc, but a free evade for a point seems good. Well see how it plays, if the titles don't come into play enough, ill probably drop them and give manaroo engines.

Almost the same as the list I will try tommorow - I have Party Bus with Dampeners instead of Manaroo.

In my opinion you could try Black Market Slicer Tools on Manaroo :)

In my opinion you could try Black Market Slicer Tools on Manaroo :)

Also have a list that involves the Dengar/Zuckster/4lom bus! 50/50 on which one id rather run now that ive picked up my Fang fighters. Party bus can consistently land the hits, but the thought of Fenn that has boosted/barrel rolled into R1 that now has a focus/tl gets me excited. I guess rigged cargo could be a good filler too to stress someone pursuing Manaroo. Going to play a good amount this weekend so well see how it all goes!

I tried this build yesterday and I think Manaroo is better than Party Bus - those extra tokens are important for arc dodgers. I think I remove titles from both ships - imho they are noth worth 1 point.
