Haven't upgraded in a while and GREAT to see the new obstacles and prox mine token! And the RitR objectives! And ignition tokens! Even a gunnery die token! So many fun things to discover I'm running out of exclamation points!

Only issue I've found so far is that selecting a MC-75 ordinance cruiser results in a Hammerhead torpedo corvette.

Spawning Rebel Officers from the Ship Card seems to always spawn Ackbar the Admiral for me, while Imperial Officers spawn Konstantine? Anyone else see this?

From the pieces menu they work fine... I smell a copy paste error :-p.

I probably broke something, and didn't notice.

OTHER BUGFIXES

Victory token now spawn with correct side up. Also changed reporting a bit.
Spawning a MC75 Ordnance from the quick menu now gives the correct ship card (not a stupid HH).
GA Thrawn added to quick menu.
Fixed the bug where spawning a Empire/Rebel officer from quick menu instead spawned KING Konstantine (I changed the name of the officer categories - this was not smart, since Vassal no longer could find the correct card to spawn).

MAJOR NEW FEATURES

Speed-0 turns (partial implementation): On the left/right hand template sub-menus, there are now options to do speed-0 turns at yaw 1 or 2. You can read the hotkeys from the menu. The implementation is partial because you cannot pre-measure with the man tool (will be added later).

MINOR NEW FEATURES

Added Blue and Black Gunnery Dice: Get them from the Pieces/Tokens menu or Varnillian card. Reports changes.

### GENERATING SETUP FILE (DISCORD) ###

Not directly module-related, but some players are not aware that @Ardaedhel has made a script that lets Discord generate a setup .vlog file for Vassal. It's almost (99%) as cute as X-wing's spawn from URL feature, but with 100% less custom java clutter.

How to:

  • Go to the Armada Discord, send a PM to @ShrimpBot using "!vassal" and your list.
  • ShrimpBot will reply with a .vlog file.
  • Load this and step forward until your fleet is fully deployed.

AFAIK it supports output from Warlords and Kingston, and I think maybe Fab's Fleet Generator.

MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL OF THE TEXT, ESP THE FIRST LINES, AS THE SCRIPT USES THIS TO DECIDE WHICH BUILDER YOU'RE USING!!!

Removed overlapping key commands to prevent some ships (those with evades) "jumping around" when default setup is triggered (it looked quite festive though).
Strategic Adviser added to quick spawn menu.

Got rid of the annoying Damage deck was shuffled messages, that repeated multiple times if you had opened multiple game rooms. It now just reports that decks were shuffled (triggers when going from round 0 to 1).
Fixed a minor bug with the Imp/Rebel spawn tokens.

MAJOR NEW FEATURES
All upgrades can now exhaust/discard: MS-1 can technically exhaust any card, and there are now so many was to discard a variety of card types. Call it future proofing.
Vassal now auto-reports when a damage card is flipped faceup/back down: When it's flipped up, it reports the card name. When flipped back down, it just says 'damage card.' It's actually been a feature for a while, but I forgot to mention it.

OTHER NEW FEATURES
Added 3 cards from wave 8: Heavy Fire Zone, Flag Bridge and Local Fire Control. Cards look ugly, because they were adapted from skewed German-language images (English text added by me).

TO-DO 3.11.0
Tweak Onager and Starhawk arcs when token scans are available.
Get scan of Superweapon card back (for now the Superweapons have the Turbolaser back).
Get proper scans of English versions of Heavy Fire Zone, Flag Bridge and Local Fire Control.

This version brings a long-awaited graphics upgrade and adds an interactive RitR map, plus fixes a bug I added in the last build (story of my life).

3.11.0 is NOT fully compatible with older versions and players should switch to 3.11.0 ASAP. For the Vassal World Cup, all players should use 3.11.0 with the listed checksum.

CRITICAL BUGFIXES
Upgrade cards now rotate properly when exhausted/unexhausted: Values were updating correctly, but cards weren't visibly rotating (only found in 3.10.6).

OTHER BUGFIXES
Spelling error in Magnite CRYSTAL Array fixed.
Zertik Strom finally spelled correctly.

MAJOR NEW FEATURES
Bigger upgrade (and squadron) card images: It's now much easier to read game text. This is how big they get, so don't ask for even bigger cards. Many card images were renamed to comply with naming standard, so expect to get at lot of "Bad Data in Module" messages if you use it with older versions.
RitR campaign map added: You can now use the RitR map the same way you use the CC map (place stickers). I was really hoping to find a good quality scan, but couldn't find any. The map is a hack job, made using a small document scanner and then pasted together.

OTHER NEW FEATURES
More solid graphics for Starhawk ship model (it was permanently faded).
Larer Onager ship model (it looked puny)
Optimized some of the png files to save space.
Cleared out some unused png files to save space.

TO-DO
Add new scans of damage cards that have the right game text.
Replace cards with errata-ed versions.

Since there have been so many changes, I'm very interested in knowing about bugs.

Known bugs:

- card backs for Fleet Command missing (minor)

- wrong range/distance overlay for SSD got reintroduced (major)

This version fixes a few known bugs in preparation for Vassal WC: SSD and Onager have new range overlays. Users will get bad/missing graphics warning if they enter games using older versions with 3.11.1.

CRITICAL BUGFIXES
SSD once again has correct range/distance overlays (bug reintroduced in 3.11.0).

OTHER BUGFIXES
Updated Onager range overlay to remove the holes I accidentally made when creating the first version.
Restored card back for Fleet Command (it got left our when I rescaled all the upgrade cards).
Spawning MC75 Ordnance now spawns the correct version of MC75.
Spawning Super-heavy Turbo now works from quick menu.
