Looking at some of the promo videos and pictures for the new season of Rebels, there is a sinister-looking female admiral (going by rank insignia) that pops up a few times. Could that be Admiral Daala from the EU? Thrawn is obviously being resurrected/reinvented in this season; maybe Daala is another character being reintroduced at the same time. Or it could be a new female admiral; not much evidence either way so far. Thoughts?

I thought they called her a governor in the trailer? Idk, I wouldn't mind seeing her back. I'd be much more interested in seeing Paellaeon back though.
If it's the imperial officer that was requesting Tarkin for Thrawn in the trailer, that's Governor Price, governor of Lothal. She was away from Lothal in seasons 1 & 2, with the late Minister Tua performing her duties during her absence.

Other pictures showed Pryce with a grand moff's insignia
so either she's been transferred from Governing to Navy, or it's someone else with the same hair color and hairstyle.

She did (along with bright green eyes) - though that might only have been after 10 years of not cutting it, while in The Maw waiting for Tarkin to return - prior to her promotion to Admiral she probably had a standard military haircut.
However, I can't see them feeling Daala was popular enough, that they'd want to "cash in on her popularity" - whereas Thrawn's popularity was probably a big reason for his inclusion.
Makes more sense to me that this is Pryce, who for some reason has started wearing different insignia.
Daala wasn't terrible as far as old Imperial EU commanders go. I enjoyed her as a recurring villain. One of the very few bright points to Kevin J Anderson's writing. I won't mourn her loss though is she's never re-introduced.
This is NOT Daala based on what was seen in the trailer. Doesn't fit appearance or character.
Please stop gravedigging the EU just to use it as filler for your kids show.

I believe they just fixed it between promos and the actual release. Imperial Insignias are kind of hard.
