ARC-170 'Primary Weapon Value' & Guidance Chips

Just need some clarification on this before I use it.

ARCs have a primary weapon value of 2, but 3 with Alliance Overhaul.

When I use one with Plasma Torpedoes (or any ordnance for that matter) I can change one die result to a Hit. Great!

But...

As Guidance Chips states, I can change one result to a Crit instead if my primary weapon value is '3 or higher'.

Now, technically my primary is still 2, as when I'm attacking I'm adding 1 dice to my roll. It doesn't per-say change my primary value.

So which is it, Hit, or Crit?

Primary is still 2.

Alliance Overhaul's "roll 1 additional attack die" is not the same as Stealth Device's "Increase your agility value by 1" or Punishing One's "Increase your primary weapon value by 1".

Hope this gets errata-ed. I'm pretty sure the entire purpose of having the 3 attack dice as a title was so you couldnt cheese a 3 dice shot out of the back arc. I reckon this is an unintended consequence.

Why would it need an errata? It seems pretty clear cut to me. You can only gain an extra die when making a primary attack in the primary arc with the title.

Errata does not mean "Things I disagree with".
