My Storage Solution - Counters + Small Cards

By froo, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Hey everyone.

So, I know a lot of people have been wondering how to store their counters/cards for easy play.

This is what I've come up with for the common counters and wound/insanity/miscast cards that now just sit in the middle of the gaming table. No mess, no fuss!

This is a modified GMT counter tray which now fits all the communal stuff.

and the best part about it is that it sits perfectly inside the WFRP box.

Enjoy!

Really nice!

Where can I get such a thing?

If you ask your FLGS they might have them or can order them in. I use them for organising all of my favourite games (they're brilliant for Descent)

You can also always get them direct from GMT Games

I'm not sure if it shows up properly in the picture above, but they do come with lids that fit snugly, so your counters wont go everywhere during storage.

How did you modify this to fit the big cards?

Well done! I had a similar idea.

I store all my cards in the Adventurers toolkit box which fits nicely in the main set box. I created this to store all the dice and bits.

I made labels to mark the proper location of each bit in the box.

Fits in the box pretty well

Unicornicus, I use (I think) identical boxes for my Runebound and Descent games. I think FFG and the Containter Store have some sort of secret deal going...

I received my copy yesterday (YEAH !!!) from amazon.com. I'm in France and that's a great discount : 62$, plus paying with a excellent exchange rate with €.

I store mini cards and bits as you did.

The dices are in a nice woodbox (giving some medieval style to the pool while playing).

The standard cards are stocked in plastic big box used by the online store.

I ordered FFG plastic protections pour mini and standard cards.

I wonder how large must be a card deckbox in order to contain all the action card. Does somebody know ?

I simply trimmed the dividing sections down with a craft knife, then retaped them together with some black electrical tape, took about 5 minutes of modifying time.

I sleeved my cards and bought a 200 count cardboard card storage box. As soon as I got the AT though, I had to get a 300 count box since the 200 count was now too snug of a fit. Without sleeves, the 200 count would work though.

I come from the heavy organization mode from boardgaming. The easier the game is to setup and find components, the more likely it will be played, so I have tons of various sized storage bins on hand all the time for new games.

I use a bin much like Unicornicus, and I then I place small containers around the table to manage the player's stress/fatigue and other markers. I haven't sleeved my cards though... debating on doing that.

thanks for your answer. I know what to buy know :)
