I have the Marvel Unlimited service, so I generally read comics about 6 months after release, and there's an HWK in Kanan #12. It's a sexy one too,
Hopefully I'm not six months late but.... the HWK is canon!
This bad boy?

That's the one! I also have to say, I've been rather enjoying the Kanan comic so far.

A little more then 6 months I think ![]()
Yt-2400s, TIE Defenders, and Decimators are all also canon

Where is the Decimator canon?
Star Wars Commander canonized the HWK, Defender, VT49 and probably a few others.
If it appears in a game after 2012 it's canon, even if the events of the game are not.

Careful there:
You just canonized Admiral Screed - of Droids fame.
I'm not a believer that games canonize anything but well... that's my own preference in what I consider as in.

The LucasFilm story-group beg to differ!

Of course they do. They also release a lot of... let's just say less than stellar stuff go out the door. Just walk by the kids books in the grocery store and note some of the wonders of 'canon' out there. If you note, I said the very next line that it's my own preference not official.
Edit: As a note - poor link citing the difference, as it doesn't say what scope the story group looks at. Do they look at games? All or just the big ones? Do they really look at those kids books? Star Wars Jedi Academy: The Phantom Bully? Really? -- Though I do believe I saw a better source citing that the story group was going to encompass everything previously so not arguing the point you make. Just questioning the reality of it.

I have no idea as to their scope or how seriously they take any of the junior stuff in regards to continuity. And the link was more of a gag than meant as something informative - however, even according to their own team, they expect to be imperfect, which is probably their 'out" on any inconsistencies.
I read enough to know I wasn't really a fan of the EU* but beyond the Marvel comics, I haven't read any of the new canon so really don't have an opinion on it.
* I have 17 EU books on my shelf (only counting stories, not things like cross-sections) so I'm obviously a slow learner, or was really trying hard to like it ![]()

Lets be clear: Video Games.
FFG's game elements' cannonicity is still very ambiguous.
Indeed, and that clarity is appreciated.
Wasn't Admiral Screed mentioned in a couple of relatively recent books?
Maybe Tarkin? I haven't seen him turn up but I couldn't finish that book.
Screed appears in Tarkin, Servants of the Empire, and Aftermath Life Debt.
Huh. The guy is still kicking in Aftermath Life Debt. Guess his mysterious death in Droids is gone. Gosh darn it all. How will I ever survive.
Edit: before anybody corrects me... My childhood memory failed me and Screed did not die in Droids.
Edited by LagJansonIm very happy about this. My first and most memorable EU experience was Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2. I have quite a lot of memories about the HWK/Moldy crow and it almost got me into xwing on its own. Im really glad that its been put back into canon
For me that was the TIE Defender..
HK47 is in Galaxy of Heroes. Canon ![]()
Apparently Galaxy of Heroes is non-canon:
