Trade and Knocked Out questions

By Slade, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Manage to play my second game of Descent solo using the RtL tutorial. Ran into trouble with some sorcerers, pretty tough fellows when the app grants them +3 range. Luckely the Abomination charged my remaining heros who were able to take care of him (lucky dice rolls followed) resulting in the sorcerers fleeing.

I also did some re-reading of the rules and ran again into following questions.

Trade question. I’m wondering if below interpretations are correct.

It’s hero’s A turn to activate and decides to move. Here A holds no shop items, relic or search card and no other hero is adjacent to him. Hero B holds a health potion while Hero C holds a stamina potion.

  1. Hero A activates to move. First hero A moves adjacent to hero B, hero B trades the health potion to hero A. Next hero A moves adjacent to hero C, hero C trades the stamina potion to hero A.
  2. Similar to 1 but this time hero A doesn’t have enough movement points to move adjacent to hero C. Hero A therefore spends fatigue to move the additional spaces to end up adjacent to hero C. This will not allow hero A and C to trade the stamina potion though … therefore alternatively hero A best spend fatigue before initiating his move action.
  3. In addition to 2 it seems to be possible to spend fatigue to move during execution of a move action but I'm not sure I'm reading that correctly.
  4. Same as 1 but this time hero A hold both a health potion and a stamina potion. Hero A moves adjacent to hero B and trades the health potion to hero B. Next hero A moves adjacent to hero C and trades the stamina potion to hero C.

Knocked out question

Initially I understood a knocked out hero would only be able to stand up or be revived by another hero. Looking closer at the knocked out rule today I would like to verify the following.

When I move hero A holding a health potion adjacent to a knocked out hero B’s token I could activate the health potion with hero A in order for the knocked out hero B to regain all his health. This action would put hero B back on the board at full health but it would remain fully fatigued. Hero B would be able to activate this turn unless ...

After some searches I understood that in case the hero had activated earlier in the turn and got defeated in the meantime it would not be able to activate again this turn after being healed by the health potion.

1,2, and 3, and 4 are all allowed. Since you can spend MP gained from fatigue in the middle of a move action, you could spend the two fatigue earlier and be adjacent to both B and C during your move action.

About being ko'ed. You can only be affected by anything for healing purposes, so a health potion is perfectly gg.
