This is likely not news to most of you forumites, but for those less experienced, I wrote up my thoughts regarding the neb B as it stands now.

Because the only sensible limit to put on "Yavaris" is counting the "Move + Shoot" activation for the Not moving.

because, as discussed elsewhere, the logical progression of counting anything else as move to Negate yavaris, will have Yavaris Negated if that squadron moves at all at any point in the game.

To Clarify.

When Yavaris Activates a squadron, that Squadron may Move and Shoot. If it does not Move, it may Shoot a Second time...

IF you put any definition upon it, outside of that... Then the following would not work:

"I move a squadron with a different activation, and then use Adar Tallon to Deactivate it, before activating it with Yavaris".

This has been a valid and vital tactic since Yavaris came out...

Mechanically, it does nothing different than having the Squadrons move via Fighter Coordination Teams.

Only thing that was not mentioned is what we mostly already know anyway. Putting Raymus on Yavaris to always have the 3 squadron activation. I did this with B-wings recently vs a weakend ISD doing 10 damage for the kill. He was mostly focused on my RAF and Salvation to notice Jan, B-wings, and Yavaris had gotten into position the previous turn.

No TRC mention?

TRCs are a strong contender for Salvation as well. It nets an extra 0.2 average damage (not much) and fewer accuracies (33% vs 42% if you're always keeping 1 acc with TRCs), but smooths out your damage variance and costs 2 points less, at 7 vs 9 points. You've got a 73% chance of scoring at least 4 damage (vs 61.4% with Spinals) and you can not score less than 2.

Of course, it has its own drawbacks. You might want to save that Evade for keeping the thing alive. It gets fragile real quick if anyone side arcs you, and that Evade could be your saving grace. TRCs also have fewer accuracies.(33% vs 42% of having at least 1 accuracy in the pool), simply because you're rolling fewer dice. Interestingly, going back to that damage variance, Spinals have a higher chance of scoring at least 6 damage (20.4%) compared to TRCS (15.9%).

Both are good and worth a consideration.

Honestly, I think the TRC on Salvation isn't a great idea with Spinal these days, but you're right- leaving it out was an oversight!

I prefer consistency for damage output, so TRC is an auto-include when I play Salvation.

With its side and rear arcs being mediocre, a cost saving option (maybe you need a veteran captain somewhere? ) is Slaved Turrets.

Lastly, running the Escort Frigate in my local meta is preferred as the extra blue AA die is very valuable.

My usual build is Escort Frigate, <edit> Salvation </edit>, Vet Capt, TRC.

I *hate* Slaved Turrets on a neb. Those side arcs are so godawful... but it means you almost always have a shot out of them!

Vet cap is good for sure! I'm still not sold on TRC on a Neb, since that evade is precious with no ability to redirect!

Both the advantage and disadvantage of Nebulon is those titles. The titles are so powerful that both Yavaris and Salvation are tied to a single command. Yavaris spams squadrons till she dies, Salvation spams command fire till she dies. No engineering, no navigation (bar first turn token mitigation).

Slaved turrets have their worth on Salvation. Once everyone has dodged your front arc, 3 red dice out of your side is still a shot worthy of the Nebulon. I do see more use in the dual turbolasers these days for the reroll.
