Idk if there was any topic about it (triple protectorate i think), but Protectorate Starfighter has finaly got dial, that makes it great ship to go swarm (am I right?). So, have you got any ideas about swarming it? Mine thoughts are:

1. Easiest one- once I heard 5 kihraxzes won a tournament, so if PSs are better, why don't make 5*Zealous Recruit list;
2. More thoughts, more ideas. PSs have 3PS cheap ept ship (22pts. each), so I can take 4*CDVet and give them predator/crackshot+at (hope some imperials will help me and give some advice);
3. 2*CDV w/predator+at & 2*ZR w/at to block;
4. Any pairs with Serissu (but not that good dial to fly with);
5. Some blocking SViper & 2*CDV w/ Pred/ CS+AT.

Anybody thought about it? Would u give it any chance?

Not really a swarm but some solid squads. The issue is they are expensive even more than the Intercepters in the same point range. The Advantages a Tie Swarm has is numbers. 5+. And usually a mix of Pilot Skills from 1-8 depending on the Flavor of the pilot. Stuck at PS1 you have Blocks but might have issues with shooting or being shot up before you react.

Was talk of the 2nd List you mentioned in this way: 2 CDV w/ Pred and AT and 2 Zelots w/ AT but again still some low end PS's.

Best be is going to be as Wingmen on other Aces or Triples where the numbers start to Even out with Imperials of similar levels.

I'm not really convinced that the Fang is going to be the spam ship we're looking for. In comparing it to either of the existing crack swarms, they just don't compare. Green squad A-Wings have two epts allowing for PTL and crack and thrusters all for the cost of the base vet. Throw predator instead crackshot and it's the same cost as the base ace. I'm not criticizing the ship, don't get me wrong, I just agree with Ronu, I'm not convinced it'll deliver what black squad cracks with howell or green arrow does.

Having said that, I think something like Serissu, 3 spacers, and a kitted Fenn Rau would make a great mini-swarm + ace like is seen with black squad crack, howell, and kitted Soontir.

Maybe something like:

At that point, maybe you throw the Concord Dawn title on Rau and take a two point bid. Put tractor beam on Serissu to offensively help out the spacers. Or run this with a 3 point bid.
