You do realize the Pattern Analyzer says "may" right? If you have a stress and do a green move you arent denied your action because you "may" ignore the bonus of that tech, clear stress, then do action normally.

Got it...still ok. Saves a point from putting on Adv. Sensors.
I officially name 5 Green Squadron A-Wings with Snap Shot, Crack Shot and Chardaan as "Snap Crackle and Pop".
I'm in on this!
Also, Snap shot could be really useful on any ship with FCS, so that they get a Target Lock for free during the Activation phase, since FCS triggers after any attack. Maybe a Brobot build?
Edit: Nothing to see here. Forgot the cannot attack again during this phase clause (which was what tripped me up the first time... my interpretation of this card is a total mess).

Snap Shot says "You cannot modify your attack dice". "You" in X-Wing refers to the ship the upgrade is attached to, not to other friendly ships. So you can use M9-G8 on another friendly ship to modify a ship's attack with Snap Shot.
We do have the Palpatine precedent.
My half assed squad idea suddenly seems more plausible, if the points can be made to fit...
Even if Snap Shot never hits Soontir, you're still likely to be forcing him to avoid range 1, and if he chances it, and his luck doesn't pay off, you'll probably force the use of Palpatine before the start of the Combat phase. That's not bad at all.
omg...OMG thats HILARIOUS i am so doing this
There's a lot of misconceptions with Snap Shot.
1. It is a secondary weapon, even though it's an EPT. It uses your primary firing arc.
2. You can't modify your attack dice, but you CAN modify your opponent's defense dice. Feel free to use Crack Shot (on A-Wings), scum crew, etc.
3. Yes, you aren't going to hit Soontir with one Snap Shot. That's why you run 5.
Snap Shot is a good card.
Holy crap. How are you keeping Soontir in arc, at range 1, of 5 ships, having moved before he has, and having to guess where he is going to land after he moves? That's impressive.
Soontir's initial movement isn't that hard to predict. His final placement, yes, but the initial movement isn't that hard. Remember, Snap Shot happens before he takes his actions.
Not difficult, perhaps, but hard enough that getting 5 ship arcs on him at range 1 seems highly unlikely.
I like how Chewie's ability is a reference to his reaction to Han's death. ![]()
Some decent pilots but nothing really wows me, still giving this one a pass.
Both those new techs are juicy. The ability to broll even while stressed for my tie/sf and tie/fo will be glorious. Also shows that they are finally realizing the stress-stacking is a problem, note the stress cap?
Nein Numb T70 is awesome. Yeah range1 is a bit restrictive but with a 4K or a 3Troll thats not that hard to get on the joust, since its after he does the maneuver/gets stressed. Also great for PTL, as if you get range 1 you can just PTL and still have full dial options next turn.
Poe as we already know is poe. Dont care. Legitimately dont care about his PS8 or PS9 version.
Jess is odd.... A reroll when attacking or defending on a TL target is pretty powerful, but that snippit about the droid letting her put a reroll on a friend? T70s are not support... her ability is just another "TL and forget" but least this one has offensive, defensive, potential support powers without being as obviously broken as OL is lol.
Snap Shot....well i can see uses for it but more of a gimick than anything else.
9Poe probably the only reveal in this article im not a fan of. He does nothing but regenpoe and will only do regenpoe because that ability is rather tame otherwise.
I think you are mixing up Jess and M9-G8. The droid is about the Target Lock attack reroll. Jess is like Scum Boba, but with allies.
If that's not a crutch, I don't know what is. ![]()
I love it and want to play it now!
Edited by DarthEnderXbut I was really hoping for something that could actually hit Soontir. He is going to get 1 evade with Palp, and chances are he will roll 1 other.

You do realize the Pattern Analyzer says "may" right? If you have a stress and do a green move you arent denied your action because you "may" ignore the bonus of that tech, clear stress, then do action normally.
Yeah, I do still like the card, was just commenting on the Tycho-lite interpretation.

Derp yeah i did lol. For some reason i read the reroll as Jess' ability and the droid simply allows friendly TL which would be completely worthless at 3pts without the rerolls. Even at 3pts...iffy. I mean it can be used offensively to make someone reroll that crit but taking an astromech slot for that at 3pts...im on the fence there

1 or 2 will be enough. It is a free toss up on chipping him down. With now tokens, and only Palpatine, I like those odds. Especially in the Crack/Snap combo...
DAT GLORY...

Ain't my job to explain how good this can be... but it sure is right out of the wonderful STAR WARS Films... by golly and shucks!

I ran this SOB down and fired on the way in, and now here comes two more clean shots at the "Can't Shake Me!" range... POW POW... right NOW NOW!!!

Snap Shot has made it abundantly clear to me that a lot of people here should go and re-read the entire turn sequence, including the steps for each phase.
So, does this mean that if Soontir moves into range 1 of your arc, you get to fire before he completes his actions ?
That's the way I read it.
I CANT FIND AN IMAGE BUT + VADER CREW. OMG OMG OMG
Call it Major Rhymer's No-Fly-Zone
Snap Shot is going to be one of those cards that either does nothing, or royally pisses your opponent off. Especially since it happens before actions, so it cant be arc-dodged and can easily smack evasive ships surprisingly. x7 defenders will still have an Evade token assuming they have initiative, but afaik nothing else gets a token off a maneuver alone. Or atleast thats used.

Interesting...
I don't think so. M9G8 says you can force the attacker to reroll the die.
The ship attacking gets the reroll - which Snap shot does not allow.
The Emperor and Accuracy corrector are the 2 modifiers that immediately come to mind with Snap Shot.

Accuracy Corrector is a bad idea. Cancelling results are fine. But adding results is considered modifying...
Snap shot is so sexy...
