Well, the card I was most excited about, "Snap Shot", has just been revealed. Not impressed.

It does exactly what I wanted and I'm still disappointed.

That range restriction is just brutal.

Edit: oh wait! If it's just no more attacks in activation phase it's ok. Thought you had to give up your combat phase attack. An unmodified two dice followed up by a range 1 shot is good. Still will be hard to nail down aces, but it makes the "dive to range 1 and use repositioning to get out" gambit dangerous.

I see no range restriction on this card.

5 snap-shot blacks + snapshot howlrunner = lots and lots and lots of dice.

The 1 is a range restriction. Just like other secondary weapons. It's only range 1. But still a great card. Tie swarms got scary.

So does "After an enemy ship executes a maneuver" mean "before it performs actions"? Thus tokenless? (Except for maybe an x7 Defender.)

Snap Shot's going to be very nasty indeed on anything with a turret and an EPT- no arc restriction.

-Edit I was wrong about this. an "attack" card needs to state specifically "even a target outside your firing arc" if it can be made out of arc, and this doesn't.

Now that I know you're not giving up your attack in combat phase, I'm really liking Snap Shot. And because you can't modify, it does combo rather well with R3 like I had hoped! Red Vet with Snap Shot, R3 and Pattern Analyzer or Primed Thrusters probably wouldn't be that bad.

Yep!

Snap Shot's going to be very nasty indeed on anything with a turret and an EPT- no arc restriction.

Edit: Secondary weapons are restricted to arc unless otherwise stated (Hot Shot Blaster)

Yes, which is what I always hoped for. Unfortunately in order for that attack to even have a chance of mattering, you still have to roll your two attack dice perfectly since you can't modify them, and then he has to like, blank out on his four green dice, then he has to be in arc so he can't use autothrusters, and THEN Palp will still stop one of the two damage die.

It's really not what I was hoping for, at all.

M9-G8 is kinda awkward.

I guess you could stick the mech on an ARC with Weapons Engineer as a sort of defensive cover. Shara Bey works well for that purpose.

If the opponent is using Palpatine to stop Snap Shot, that is a big win.

Oh my goodness, you're right. It IS a secondary weapon, meaning primary arc only.

God, Snap Shot is disappointing AF.

Primed Thrusters are awesome, makes ello totally usable and a ps9 ptl poe a beast.

...but, what with this & BMST, seems like they're rather gunning for him :D ;)

ah - the "turret" secondaries state "even outside your firing arc" so actually this does seem like it's restricted to arc because that's the default setting for attacks. sorry.

I still do not see how this expansion will help the rebels in the current meta. Jumpmasters and tie defenders would still probably eat these new pilots alive.
