New Article on Heroes T-70

I could see 'Snap Shot' being a useful second EPT on an A-Wing.

there are 3 big "cheats" to snapshot, though only one of them is really amazing

r3-a2 is the amazing one; just straight shuts down actions sans sensors etc.

then there's canceling dice results, which isn't considering modifying (ala crackshot, so A-wings)

and adding dice, not dice results, ala Jan Oars

don't think it'll really be worth it outside of the r3-a2 shenanigans.

There is a fourth. Proc-ing after attacking triggers. Fire Control System, Darth Vader crew, tactician (only works on shuttle version of Major Rhymer).

good catch

but you had a chance and you blew it

Don't forget about effects from other ships like Palpatine and M9-G8 that can modify the results..

Oicunn - Snap Shot - Darth Vader - Gunner - Engine Upgrade

56 points of DOOM. You can potentially deal three Vader crits in one round.

Other snap shot tricks..

A-wings can juke a snap shot... Who's got a focus token there?

Wedge still reduces agi

Ten numbs ability is on, should you roll a crit

Airen cracked gives an additional action

Scourge, mauler Mithel, zeta leader, Zuckuss and n'dru can get an additional attack die

Whisper can get a focus

Turn phennir can get a boost or barrel...

Rhymed increases range

And that's not looking at many other upgrade options like crew/droids/

Just imagine - greedo, zuckuss, bossk...

In case of bossk, my snap shot missed, I get a focus and TL and a stress...

why would you run juke As when you could run crackshot for the ultimate rice crispies pun when you Snapshot, Crackshot and pop an enemy ace

Edited by ficklegreendice

Cause you can juke snap more than you can crack snap

Can Wes Janson strip on any attack? Just out of interest. Say OL flys past, you snap shot and strip the tl (stress bot as well for extra screw you)?

Any and every attack he makes gets to strip a token.

So can Snap Wexley equip the Black One title if he equips VI or Adaptability?

Nvm, still had Wes on my mind.

Yes, he can for VI, no for adaptability.

How does it not work with adaptability?

How does it not work with adaptability?

Your PS isn't set until the ship is placed.

Got it. Thanks!

Don't forget about effects from other ships like Palpatine and M9-G8 that can modify the results..

Sensor Jammer triggers the same way that Palp does, where the 'You' modifying the dice isn't the owner of snap shot, but M9-G8 says that the other ship re-rolls their own die making the 'you' modifying it the owner of snap shot, which isn't allowed by snap shot.

M9-G8 does not work with snap shot the way it's written.

See r4-b11. Makes opponent reroll defense dice, but doesnt work against OL because YOURE the source of the modification. The source of the dice modificationfor m9 is another ship, not the one performing the attack, so it should work fine

Another daft idea, maybe...So, picking up on two separate discussions I've seen in this thread (or maybe others - but now can't find  ), putting M9-G8 on the cheapest ARC-170 with Weapons Engineer, and target-locking two of your other ships on the first round, basically gives them Predator for the rest of the game...unless you re-lock on another ship...

...anyone think of twin A-wing builds that can use [kinda] 3 ept's each ??? :D

[sorry if someones already made this combo...I'm losing track of all the ideas in the different threads!]

EDIT: Oh, based on VL's comment in previous post to this one, does this mean both friendly TL'd ships could each reroll one SnapShot result, if so equipped ???

No one can say for sure if m9 will work until we get an faq, but i think it shold based on r4b11

You can reroll Snap shot on Han using old hans ability yes?

You can reroll Snap shot on Han using old hans ability yes?

Nope. It's Han's ability and he's rerolling dice, rerolling dice is dice modification.

You can reroll Snap shot on Han using old hans ability yes?

You cannot modify any dice. Rerolling=modifying. There's an argument that says if another ship allows you to reroll its possible, per the precedent set by Emperor and Omega Leader interaction. But, no, Han Solo's ability cannot affect the dice on Snap Shot.

That's the key though. R4-B11 doesn't work on OL because you're making OL reroll his dice. M9-G8 operates the same way. If I'm the ship with Snap shot and you tell me to reroll a die, I tell you I'm not allowed to by my card saying I cannot modify it.

That I cannot modify my die means that I cannot pick up a die and reroll it, which is what M9 is telling me to do regardless who has M9 equipped. I'd say "Sorry Mate, M(9-G)8 doesn't work." Similar to how if OL has a target lock on me and I shoot him with HLC, I cannot turn my crits to hits because that's a modification.

The new T-70 pilots are a lot better costed than the old ones. They don't pay a point for their ability, just for their PS. In contrast, all the old T-70s are probably a point overcosted now.

PS9 Poe is the standout here. The PS8 version already pays a point for his ability. PS9 now pays +1 for his PS, and then another +1 because why the **** not, apparently. Which is really weird considering how aggressively they costed the other new pilots. Not going to say he's DOA, but I do think he's overcosted.

Because they realized that giving Poe a free VI would make the PS 8 version worthless.

By that argument r4b11 would work fine against omegal easer because OL himself is the one rerolling, not his locked target. But the faq says it doesnt work because the modification is coming from said locked target. M9 should folow the samw concept. The modficafion is coming from m9 (he picks the die to be rerolled), so it should work because the modification isnt coming from the ship using snap shot (or attacking omega leader as the case may be).

The Pattern Analyzer is gonna make the Tie SF's dial better. Backdraft s-loop onto to another ship with Rennet shuttle, more literal aspet of showing the darkside.

Makes advanced sensors useless on SF, so we can get that FCS too on a zeta for 27 points.
