Dedmanzhand's fleet - Criticism welcomed!
How did you post your pictures?
I don't know how and I wanted to post some so please tell me.
Thanks
Michael
The easiest way to post pictures:
Upload Picture to Photobucket
View Picture on Photobucket.
To the Right, there will be a list of links.
Click the link that is [ IMG ] - It will copy said link to your Clipboard.
Paste said link in Post. Done.
...
It is also possible to do the same with imgur, but you need to hunt down the actual url of the image file itself (.jpg / .png, etc) and then encase it in [ IMG ] tags yourself.
Photobucket is one click.
Got all excited about the replies then!
Honestly, mate. Your stuff is Great.
The Drybushing work on it is super-solid, and not completlely overwhelming. It does make the MonCal look a little dry, but I think as we started to discuss previously, a little glaze might help there...
The Squads are awesome, and everything in the empire is tied together...
So very little criticism from me. ![]()
Those ISDs are great, and those rebel squadrons are beauts.
I find the rebel ships a bit plain for me, missing a go faster strip or something, but that's just personal opinion.
Thanks guys! I probably got a little dry-brush happy. I was thinking about adding some brown areas to the MC80 actually, as it is a little plain. Picking out some further details on the other Rebel stuff is a good shout, as they turned out a little duller than expected.
Edited by DedmanzhandI actually like how toned down the rebel ships look, they seem to really fit in with the other armada ships while remaining unique. While I love the crazy paint jobs people come up with it's actually sort've pleasant to see ships that aren't so wild.
I love ALL of it....especially the Imperial symbol on the star destroyers...nice touch.
Keep up the great work! ![]()
Nice work man. Loving the colour on those Nebs, and the Imp symbols. And is that a golden yv666 there? Noice! ![]()
Nice work dude!
I wanted the Rebel ships to look worn, and like they were shipping cargo this time last week. The Imperial stuff is built to fight, so naturally looks uniform and well maintained. I HATE painting TIE fighters, but I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thanks for all of the encouragement guys!

Tell it to Vykes. He hates em, too...
Me? i just painted another 21 Oversized TIE fighters.

Just wait until those TIE Defenders arrive... oh god ![]()
The thought of painting TIE Defenders is already giving me sleepless nights, haha. I've been putting off the Interceptors due to fiddliness, and the red stripes for Fell!
AF mk.II is nearly done, and the other CR90. Any ideas for the Liberty, as I have not seen many painted?
Bad news is that my wave 3 and 4 orders have been delayed :-(
I love the combined fleet pictures, what a cool looking shelf you got! I have a similar looking display in my work office, but with models from a previous star wars game. My Armada ones get too much use (fortunately).
Are you dry brushing to get that white/grey texture? It looks really nice and I want to try it. Also, what are you using to get the wash on the A wings?
I love your fleet shots, and it pains me to point it out, but IG88 is backwards...
