Wayward Stars - Group A

By waywardgm, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I think someone other than Ramani should take the first PC slots since you are more likely to be shot, and he is not going to shoot anyone this round...

Someone needs to post! I am excited to see the whole combat come together - I just hope I can handle all the crazy things.

Ah, okay. I had been worried that you were ending the third round, not the second, and that I'd managed to get behind. :)

Is this still alive? Did I miss a memo? I can post if no one else is ready to roll.

Go ahead, Primus! Or anyone, you have 3 PC slots!

The only reason I haven't rolled is because I have not been ordered to attack and I am not in immediate danger. Sorry, I have to wait on Ronin before I start.

Makes sense. I'll let the rest of you get actions in before posting for Ramani. It makes sense since he can't be targeted by a combat check until he does something naughty himself.

Alright, I have worked out what you meant by the ranges. Yes please maps if possible in future! I am horrible with this stuff sometimes so any help would be awesome.

Also blooming heck! 8 wounds out of 13 is not ideal. Does anyone know medicine stuff?! I will pay in Clone stories.

Clasping his now severely wounded torso with a free hand, CR-0216 grits his teeth behind the stylized helmet. That brings back memories... It was only ever going to be a matter of time before someone pegged him with a shot, but it didn't make it any easier taking the blaster fire. And then there's a hail of bolts, which tear apart the other Trandoshan, the one that had not shot him. Rest in peace, Lurk? Lizark? That fella.

Ducking another torrent of shots from the ship, one still pinging off his damaged armor, Crow closes the distance on the Devaronian. Wait, what were those lights just now? Pulling up short, he takes a quick look through the scope of his rifle towards the docking bay doors. Well, as if we didn't have enough problems! The lights on the door can only mean one thing; invasion. This scrap was about to get some additional bodies thrown into the mix, and as far as Crow was concerned, there was already too many. Moving again, and this time trying to steady his aim on the run, the Clone burst fires his rifle towards Chak T'Vont, not slowing down as he nears the ship.

The shots land perfectly, impacting the horned alien and causing him to slow. "That'll bloody teach you!" Crow mutters, somewhat ruefully, "Don't lie to a Clone. We always find out, even if it's indirectly!"

Maneuver to move across the bay 1 range band, towards the ship but circling Chak so I don't run straight through the middle please!

Action to shoot at Chak

Firing on the move at Chak: 2eP+1eA+2eC+1eS 1 success, 1 Despair

Ffffuuuuu... Well, I hit. And it does 11 damage to him before soak. So that's a good thing!

The bad thing is obviously the despair. I warned you guys. Crow is a prophet of despair.

Sorry, been away for a bit. Life got busy and I was sick yesterday.

I think it's an NPC slot next, I'll take the next PC slot if no one else wants it...

Take the next PC slot. I'm still recovering from the election. I'm too numb to post right now. Sorry, all.

So, should I take a wound from rust damage? ;)

Somebody who's going to shoot somebody better take a turn soon or I'll rob the next turn, even though Ramani is in no immediate danger and does not intend to shoot anyone! Come on people!
I will have a post up shortly. Forgot we had a new player in the game (in the form of an NPC)!

She's so stunned I'm awarding her Setbacks on the first attack. Poor thing, it's not every day you see a Jedi after all.

Shock. Not just surprise. A massive, all consuming shock. That weapon was a lightsaber. That weapon was a lightsaber. Her breath is caught in her throat, her eyes wide. Agent of the Imperial Security Bureau, long time and staunch supporter of the Empire, overseer of dozens of operations to root out anti-Imperial sentiment, decorated multiple times for service and valor, and Tylee Cardas cannot find the words to issue the order.

Around her the Stormtroopers begin to react, their training somehow overcoming the impossible sight. It is their movement that snaps Cardas back to the moment. Her voice rings out before she realizes it, clear and authoritative. "Troopers, apprehend the criminal Jedi immediately! Do whatever it takes to bring the renegade to justice!"

And to her joy, and relief, her hand moves, drawing the blaster from its holster and firing a shot at the Kel-Dor Jedi before she has time to process the motion. Her mind is a blank, but her body knows how to obey the Empire. At least in some small capacity. However, her hands are shaking, uncontrollably, and the shots miss by inches, hitting the wall harmlessly behind the Jedi.

Her action spurs the Stormtroopers on, however, and they all raise their weapons in unison. Except the one with his hands still deep in the wiring of the door controls.

Agent Cardas uses One Maneuver to draw her Blaster Pistol

She then uses One Action to fire it at Torin

Firing Blaster Pistol at Torin Dol: 2eP+1eA+1eD+2eS 1 failure, 5 advantage
p-a-a.pngp-a-a.pnga-s-a.pngd-f-f.pngs--.pngs--.png

Not that those Setbacks mattered, as the Force was with Torin. She will use the 5 Advantage to pass 1 Boost Dice to each of her two Stormtrooper squads this turn.

Next PC! I will have Solan done quickly for you all, sorry for the delays in this last post.

I'll take the next slot. Already got everything rolled, just need to write out the post.

Shyyy... I wanna see your post bro.

Yes, please do go ahead and post when you can, Eya. Also when am I getting your joint backstory, you two?

Eya knows, in some corner of her mind, that her allies (still a strange thing to think about, having allies) are taking hits. But there's nothing she can do about that yet; there are still two Stormtroopers right here.

She practically launches herself into the next one, slamming against him with jarring force. The trooper staggers backwards, and Eya follows, rifle still dangling. There's a brief, brief moment where both are still, Eya's eyes staring into the blank helmet.

Then Eya plunges the knife into the Stormtrooper's gut. The armored figure doubles over, clutching at his stomach, and Eya withdraws the blade.

Eya's Turn:

Maneuver: Engage Stormtroopers.

Maneuver: Aim. Eya is at 6/12 strain.

Action: Attack Stormtroopers.

More stabbing: 2eA+1eP+1eB+2eD+1eS+1eF 5 successes, 2 threat, 1 Dark Side

a-s.pnga-s-s.pngp-s.pngb-s.pngd-th.pngd-th.pngs--.pngf-ds.png

Nine damage. With a vibroknife. It's probably a good thing she doesn't have anything bigger. o_o

I'm getting kind of nervous about where these zillions of threats are going, though!

(And... did I seriously not upload this? Good job, me. *facepalm*)

"Blast it, kid! I refuse to believe you work for someone like Vader!" Solan yells to Ramani as he dodges another blaster shot. His face is paling, he is clearly limping now and his breath is labored. "If you do, you'd better call off these Imperials now or we're all going to see the inside of cell or a coffin!" Snapping his gun up, the Corellian fires two quick shots back towards the Stormtroopers. One bolt hits the chest plate, one the helmet, and the lead Trooper falls to his knees, then topples forward.

The last remaining Imperial lets out a very clear scream of rage as his companion dies; a piercing sound that cannot be ignored.

"If you won't call them off, I'll put them down!" the smuggler pants, staggering to the ship and finally getting out of line of sight from the repeating blaster. He doesn't rest easy, as Chak is barreling towards him, gun raised and the fury clear on his face.

Looking down at his wounds, Solan sighs, "Double blast it, I don't think I am gonna see that lovely blonde again..."

Solan uses One Action and fires his Heavy Blaster Pistol against the remaining Stormtroopers

DL-44 shots at Stormtroopers: 2eP+1eA+2eD+1eS 2 successes, 1 advantage
p-s-s.pngp-s-a.pnga-a.pngd--.pngd-th.pngs-f.png

This inflicts 5 points of damage, killing one more Stormtrooper

He then uses One Manuver to reach the ship, collapsing against it in exhaustion

Again I'll defer to the gun-bunnies, Ramani is fine with going later.

If it's alright with you all, I'll go ahead and take the next spot. It will be a little bit later on in the day though so if someone else posts before then than that's fine.

Weedles has asked since I forgot to post - Agent Tylee Cardas is Adversary 2.

If it's alright with you all, I'll go ahead and take the next spot. It will be a little bit later on in the day though so if someone else posts before then than that's fine.

You forgot to say which day :D

I'm so sorry about the lateness of this post. At first I was waiting for Cardas' Adversary tally but ended up getting usy at work while somehow forgetting my password to Rokos after rolling it a day before <_< . Any who, i'll make sure this doesn't happen again everyone. I ask for your apologies.

:Defense Protocol Engaged-Eliminating Hostiles:

If he was organic he would have sworn his adrenaline spiked when the bolt whizzed past them. Of course, that was not the case; it was merely bliss.

His guard protocol kicking into full gear, Embeetoo snapping his his blaster right into place, fired an opening salvo straight at the stunned officer before him. Had his programming been a little looser, he would have preferred to pop the head of the mechanic over yonder but beggar’s can’t be choosers he supposed.

Gonna go ahead and "draw" (activate) my blaster for my maneuver and with my action I'll unload on Cardas (considering that without a command I cannot target anyone else yet).

Combat Check: Drawing a Cardas: 1eA+2eP+1eB+1eD+2eC 1 failure, 3 advantage, 1 Despair

a--.pngp-s-a.pngp-a-a.pngb-a-a.pngd-f.pngc-th-th.pngc-d.png

Well...that could have gone a whole lot better :( . Oh well, I'll chalk it up to him being caught up in the moment, spend 2 Advantage to add a Boost to Ronin's next check (in the form of sporadic and chaotic cover fire) and use the last advantage to notice something important in the conflict once he regains his usually cool combat demeanor)

For organization: Manuever-"Draw" Blaster. Action- Fire on Cardas (Fail). Manuever (2 Advantage)- Assist Ronin's Check. Incidental Next Turn- Notice Important Point.

His ecstasy was not impeded, even as his barrage failed to sear his foe. No matter, no matter. His wiring crackled passionately as he continued to lay down fire against his foes, not his usual self at all. So long had he gone without true battle he had lost himself in those opening moments, firing rapidly and erratically and sporadically over the hall in untampered euphoria.

Weedles, I think you're rolling too many Opposed dice. If you are at short range a Ranged Light check should be one purple, then 2 upgrades for Adversary makes that purple into a red, and adds another purple afterward for a total of ONE RED + ONE PURPLE.

At least I am pretty sure that's what it should be, unless you're going for Auto-Fire?
