I still haven't taken an action, so I have no idea.
Wayward Stars - Group A
Edited by waywardgmI will post the order again shortly - we've had a couple of items removed from it so it should be easier to manage. The Fight at Docking Bay 54

NPC - Unidentified entity (Crow knows it to be a droid) inside the shipWas ordered to stop firingNPC - Stormtrooper Group descending from Lambda

Also - Destiny Pool: 3 Light Side / 5 Dark Side
Eya hasn't taken her action yet because I'm waiting on any responses from Ramani or Chak.
I'm sort of waiting for a response from Chak before responding, I'm assuming all this happens sort of almost simultaneously. And Ramani has taken action this round so any response will be incidental chatter anyway!
I'll do the Solan post tomorrow and add in the tidy up. Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy your present of 10xp and 1000 credits!
Solan:
Pushing himself away from the ship's hull, and not pleased to see a bloody hand print left behind, Solan limps his way across to the small group crowding around the now kneeling Chak T'Vont. "Well, well, well. I expected you to give up in the negotiations, not the gunfight. Seems I can be wrong about people," the Corellian smirks at the Devaronian, before turning to look at Ramani. "And I'm hoping to hell I'm wrong about you. Please tell me that Vader thing was a ploy?"
Still staunching the flow of blood from his wound with a free hand, Solan also levels his pistol at Chak, making it more or less impossible for the criminal to go anywhere without getting shot by someone.
Solan will use one Maneuver to close the distance to Chak and his captors
That'll be all for our Corellian today
Chak:
Bowing his head in resignation, the Devaronian fumes inwardly. He knows the fight is over, or at least when not to fight against hopeless odds. But the Clone had mentioned something about the bay door opening, and that surely meant an opportunity to slip away into the ship. If the blasted droid was any good, it'd have the thing ready to fly at a moment's notice, but he wasn't trusting to luck. Chak wasn't sure what infuriated him more; the Trandoshans who had, up until this point, proven to be very skilled and worthwhile henchmen, abandoning him, or the fact the rank amateurs that stood before him now had somehow got the upper hand.
Biting his tongue to stop from insulting them, he resolves to bide his time, waiting for a chance to escape.
Chak will sit still, not wanting to provoke any attacks now that the fighting is effectively over, except for...
Grrowv:
Staggering forward, turning the lurching momentum into a run, the hulking Togorian smashes into the last Stormtrooper as he fires wildly at her. A resounding crunch and squeal of plasteel armor rings out as the man flops in a heap, the impact knocking him unconscious instantly. Grrowv shudders as she falls to her knees just past the last Imperial, her legs giving out from exertion and the wounds taking their toll on her. Searching around, she sees Solan by the ship with Ramani, Eya, and the armored man who was previously with Chak.
"Seems loyalties can change as quickly as the wind, even with military types," she whispers as she drags herself back to her feet. Traipsing past the fallen Imperial squad, none too kindly kicking one or two as she passes, the Torogian limps up to her partner. "All shipshape here, Solan?" she asks, noting his severe injury but playing it off as nothing serious.
"Aye, we're squared away, Grrowv. You smell a bit burned, though," the Corellian shoots back, not taking his eyes off the Devaronian. "Maybe a shower or bath is in order one we sort this mess out?"
All she can do is nod, the last of her immense strength sapped to the point she can barely stand.
Grrowv used her Action to Brawl the last Stormtrooper, who for both expedience and future story telling's sake, was knocked out like it was Friday.
She then used a Maneuver to limp across the bay to the group assembling at the ship's door.
Bhurrk:
Hoping the door would open soon, the hidden Trandoshan waits and watches. Chak is a lost cause now, surrounded by people and guns. Running out to try and save him would be suicide, and get him no acclaim from the Scorekeeper. Stifling a sigh, he continued to press himself against the mess of crates he was hiding under, glad no one had thought to look for him. Yet.
Edited by waywardgmAnd the noble follower of the Trandoshan religion continues to be sneaky.
My next post will be the door to Docking Bay 54 opening, and the sights beheld behind it.
Ramani gives Solan an incredulous look. "Lord Vader should be so fortunate as to have someone of my talents working as his top agent. Fortunately for the rest of you, his people haven't reached out to my people yet, so I'm still your guy. But hey, I'm expecting that call any day now. Listen. we have a new plan now. Let's just get into the ship and get out of here before more Imperials get here. I'm sure Chak won't mind giving us a lift." He decides to stop there, rather than continuing as he had planned by mentioning that Chak probably wouldn't mind giving them a lift, and his ship, for that matter. No reason to antagonize the guy when he was about to be nice and give his ship to Ramani.
The Balosar looks over the rest of the small team, watching the interaction between the Stormtrooper in the disheveled old-style armor and Eya. And ignoring completely her wish for him to shut up. Mostly people who said they wanted him to shut up changed their minds. Eventually. "You know this guy kiddo? He's Empire, right?" he asks Eya, still keeping his impressive-looking blaster pistol trained on Chak's groin, but glancing behind him, deeper into the ship, to make sure some of Chak's crew isn't about to get the drop on him from behind. "Is he about to try to kill me now or is he going to play nice?"
I'll do the Solan post tomorrow and add in the tidy up. Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy your present of 10xp and 1000 credits!
Nice! Thanks, and merry Christmas
Eya gives Ramani a good long murderous stare. Well, probably not murderous. Probably. "Crow, this is Ramani. He got hired to negotiate, I got hired as extra muscle." She then gestures to Crow. "Ramani, this is Crow. He's a friend. Don't shoot him, or try to arrest him, or whatever ill-thought thing you're thinking about doing." She grimaces. "Now that we've all been introduced, let's get going."
Edited by The Shy IonAnd I presume the door now interrupts us?
It seems you don't need Force powers of precognition... But it won't until the end of the round - meaning Embee, Torin and the Stormtrooper groups have to go first. Of course that is happening at the same time this is, so let's see what unfolds.
I look forward to seeing what our lovely droid and Kel-Dor do next.
Also, in case anyone missed it, I awarded everyone 5exp for 200 posts as well. Total you've earned now is 15exp and 1000 credits.
Maneuver: Aim
Action:
Lightsaber Attack: 3eA+1eP+1eB+2eD 1 success, 2 advantage
So that's 8 damage (Breach 1) to the Stormtrooper minion group he's engaged with - I'll spend the 2 Advantage to recover 2 Strain
Extra Maneuver (Spending that 2 Strain) to move into Engaged with the second Stormtrooper squad (I'm assuming they were in Short Range...)
Torin's instincts and training quickly returned and his green blade kept moving as he pressed his advantage against the lone Stormtrooper from the squad closest to him - the trooper gave a muffled grunt as he fell to the ground, a smoking gash across his torso.
Torin kept his momentum going as he leapt over the fallen trooper and landed in front of the the remaining squad - his blade at the ready...
Edited by Jedi RoninAre we waiting for Embee to take action?
Yes indeed. I have already had a quick catch up with Weedles, and he's said he's working on a post now. If he doesn't post by tomorrow I will send a reminder. I hope everyone has had a great start to 2017! Let's make this a year of awesome roleplay!
The volleys ceased as quickly as they began as wailing pierced the hall while a bolt almost pierced his hull. Civilians? What insipid beings would waltz in the path of a squad of Stormtroopers, let alone gaze as the zealously sliced into a private docking bay? Were these organics- his systems began to tenses he realized exactly what had transpired? Waste. Utter waste. The coward wouldn’t even fight like a soldier, she would let others take the fall to save her own skin. That was vile, even to him. Their pain was purposeless, their deaths meaningless. Truly a horrid fate brought on by this wicked officer!
And now she calls for her men to save the “innocent”? To cover up HER cowardice?! And what of himself, acting a fool in his euphoric assault? He was a warrior, a collected metal man of standards and tactical warfare, not a haywire turret. Battle was his calling, not the slaughter of bystanders. He tried to shake the thoughts from his mind, but his programming continued to dwell on the wounded; his protocol was already yearning to assist. Had he no master he would have surely been forced to rush to their aid.
But he did didn’t he. And the one who started it all, the one who still stood hiding behind a wall instead of standing with her men, still drew breath. Not for long. His focus true once more, he took aim at the Imperial agent, preparing for a nice, clean blast.
Firing on Agent Cardas (Second Attempt): 1eA+2eP+2eB+1eD+1eC 0 successes, 4 advantage
Wow, once again failing his original purpose. No excuse there, just flat out missed.
I’ll go ahead and use 2 advantage to add a Setback to Cardas’ next check while using the last bit to give Ronin a boost on his next check.
Again? Something must be wrong with…something. Forget it, this organic would meet a swift end soon enough. Now far more controlled,
Embeetoo swiveled back and forth, stationary as custom for droids of his make, firing focused shots at Cardas and the general area closest to the troops for the Jedi’s own benefit. Though the Kel-Dor may have been smacked a bit a warrior such as a Jedi had no fear against common grunts right? This was adequate and in line with his programming he told himself; the real threat to them was this spineless officer. Circuits buzzing and pistons pulsing, the machine kept up his attack.
As can be seen, Embeetoo is the cynical sort. Sorry for the lateness of my post, work has been swamped. Good to hear from everyone again though, and to see how well the story is coming along. I'm getting anxious for when they all meet face to face.
Stormtrooper Group Delta:
Seeing the humming green blade cut through their ranks so swiftly, the remaining Stormtroopers retreat to the door, firing as they move. With a yelp of triumph, the Imperial with his hands inside the controls finds the right combination of wires and the large bay grinds open, exposing the scene within.
A Devaronian on his knees, surrounded by people with guns, all trained on his immobile form. A group of dead or incapacitated Stormtroopers, the special squad that had deployed from the Lambda directly into the bay. Scattered and damaged crates, boxes and support pillars, all showing signs of a heated battle. An idling ship, its engines online but not moving yet.
Scrambling to cover, the Stormtroopers keep up their fire as the Sergeant radios in for support, requesting additional forces to deal with an out of control criminal element and a renegade Jedi and his Battle Droid companion.
Edited by waywardgmDelta will use one maneuver to disengage from Torin.
They will then fire their weapons, still set to stun as ordered by Cardas.
Firing at Torin while retreating to cover: 3eP+1eA+1eD+1eS 1 success, 4 advantage
This will inflict 8 Strain Damage, which I believe knocks Torin out - let me know if you are using any defensive stuff like Reflect here.
They will use the first 2 advantage to give Torin a setback on his next check (if he makes one).
And the last 2 advantage on taking a free maneuver to take cover just inside the Docking Bay 54 doors.
Also - TOP OF THE ROUND!
I'm afraid that I'm off to Arisia and will therefore not be available until Monday.
Have fun! Are you going in Star Wars cosplay?
That does indeed knock Torin out. I guess I shouldn't have taken the extra maneuver - forgot they were using stun. It will be interesting to see how characters react to a Jedi who can't defend or explain himself.
Edited by Jedi Ronin
If my math is right, you could use Reflect and remain on 1 Strain. Let me know if I did the numbers correctly. I know that stun rounds are shown as giant blue donuts but I don't see why you couldn't block that, what with Jedi powers and all.
Torin has Reflect 1 which means he suffers 3 Strain to reduce damage by 3, so with Stun damage it's not useful at this Rank.
With this being the top of the round, wouldn't it make sense for our killer-droid to go first? And possibly anybody in the other group who might shoot the stormies in the doorway? Ramani probably won't (for now), since he wants to keep Chak subdued. And he won't fire on no Imperials unless he's very sure he'll get away!
Go for it, Medic-Bot! Crow will likely be a little incredibly PTSD'd by the whole B2 thing (and the Jedi, but it seems he fell over before the Clone saw him so no worries there) and may freeze up some. So it makes sense to go after Embee.
I'm honestly not sure yet how Eya will react. Hopefully I'll have it figured out by the time the murderbot goes.
Hello! Where are we at ladies and gents? Can I get one of you to post in the next 36 hours? Thank you!
Right here boss-man. As I said earlier it would be much better for our killer-bot or other ranged combatants to take the next slots since Ramani won't fire on no Imperials unless he's very certain he'll get away with it. Doing so would limit his options when trying to weasel his way out of getting sent to a maximum security prison for a very long time...
Here, waiting for murderbot, but willing to go if murderbot cannot.
Also, sulking about my inability to use the old FFG forum theme now. Everything's all white and it's irritating.
A seeping mixture of caution and relief filled the droids circuits as the blasted door finally gave way. From what he could hear during his “uncivilized ecstasy” the dock had went from a cluster of blaster fire to what seemed like passive aggressive banter (aggressive being the key word it seemed). Hopefully they would meet their faces instead of the visored eyes of the “Empire’s finest”. Then wouldn’t they get a grand surprise.
Instead though, Embeetoo got his own little hiccup: apparently the Jedi DID have something to fear from common grunts. A Jedi, by Chaos. Forcefully, his focus was ripped from Cardas and onto his current Master, conked out on the dusty hall floor. His blaster rose to face the Stormtroopers as they scurried behind the door. Fitting for a cowardly commander to have a cowardly crew.
His will tied to the Kel-Dor’s, the hunk of metal levelled his Dragoon, attempting to protect and avenge the pacified Padawan.
QuoteFiring on Delta: 1eA+2eP+2eB+1eD+2eS 3 successes, 2 advantage
![]()
Finally hit something
. That deals 6 damage after soak leaving Delta one man short yes? I’ll use those two advantages to give a setback to Group Delta’s next check.
The searing blast rippled through the troop’s skull as he laid in a much worse state on the same ground. Buzzing deeply in satisfaction, Embeetoo glared past the fallen plasti-boy, quickly and sharply jolting what amounted to a faceplate on him towards the open door, a bit of relief in his core despite his leader’s incapacitation. The scarred one, the loud one, the Togorian, the greasy one, even the Clone (the clone!) were all still standing- right in front of a perfectly operable ship and among a fresh graveyard of hissing corpses.
Wait…well darn it all. How was he supposed to lug this one out of here alive? That was part of the deal after all. Hopefully his actions could convince that odd little fellowship over there; he doubted a clone would be convinced of anything otherwise. The droid boomed in his stereotypical drone as he laid down continued hellfire, his gaze still locked on the enemy. “Master down, enemy neutralized. Assistance preferable.” Short and sweet.
QuoteWelp, the gangs all here sorta. Also, I feel your pain Shy.
Also, the PTSD will probably not be helped with a clone trooper style soldier being blasted right in front of him by the medic-bot. Sorry about that.
