How are you building it and what lists are you fitting it in with?
I can build a Shadowcaster I like, but at expense of the rest of the squad. My scum selection is sorely limited.
Was flying Ventress with a Tanarii point veteran and Manaroo mind linked. It was fun but not competitive. I don't like two ship lists so either I've got fodder spam or compromised three ships...
Asajj with fearlessness/latts/glitterstim/bmst/gyroscopic targeting; paired with a party bus slaver and a ps1 fang with the title.
I'm interested in throwing out a ventress/bossk two ship list.
I also think this could be decent

Beat vess/ryad palp, on time. More testing required.

it's pretty horrible. go in fast and hard and against small ships, aim to bump on, beam it away, and then shoot it with both Ketsu and Fenn. not much survives that.
even against large ships, they dont get any defense dice against Fenn, at the very least.

even against large ships, they dont get any defense dice against Fenn, at the very least.
I think I prefer Fearlessness to VI on Ketsu there, because personally against the high pilot skill "ace" type ships I'd want to get in position for a block and maybe taking a focus or evade if I don't need to boost and have them ram into me. That and then Fearlessness just adds that extra red die to your attack, which in turn should help proc the title more.
Fearlessness is a near must-equip for any scum pilot that already wants to control range. Boba, guri, all the lancers and fangs.
First time today that I play Ventress (PTL, Gyroscope, Ketsu, Shadowcaster, Cargo, Slicer).
Pretty standard. Anyway, I look so hard to don't play PTL on it.
Gyroscope....I like it. Spin the arc for free for the next turn, seems ok to me.
Crew and other can be changed, but PTL is hard to change...maybe if I play any PS8-9 in list I can think about a VI, just to use the title and the tractor token (but even in this case, if I use Onyo as crew I don't care about VI).

Noooo, you absolutely want Ketsu to shoot before Rau. So VI over fearlessness in that build. The only quibble I have with that build, which I think looks very good, is that the 1 point initiative bid would be better spent pushing the PS1 Z95 up to the PS3 version. Or if staying at PS1 put feedback array and vector thrusters on it to become a blocker instead of the concussion missile.

This version seems fun at least. A lot of control, but still a lot of fire power and hp. Party bus can be altered how you want. I love the burnout slam to help these big ships get out of dodge when they need to

This is what I do as well (only difference is BMST in place of Chute but whatever). Very powerful. A bit easy mode so I would pair it with something fun (like Emon Azzameen)..

Exactly, VI is essential due to order of fire. Good suggestions regarding the z95, thanks.

Passes out stress like candy due to the 180 arc and mobile arc plus Asajj's ability, which Latts uses to greatly extend Evals life. Plus, there's little more satisfying than having a ship crash into Eval, giving them a stress with Asajj, then shooting them, stressing again with tactician and tractoring them off the YV so that Eval can blast them.

So first shot will have -2 agility, hit, put tractor beam, then Latt's followup has -1 agility.
I like my ketsu list better for thay. Way easier to arrange ketsu having them in arc at range 1 at ps9 than it is to get asajj taking shots from out of the targets arc. And ketsu gets -2 to agility first shot plus giving latts -2 for his shot if you hit

But it's not thematic enough , Asajj and Latts were a 2 girl bounty hunter team. (for a short while)
ya i have a ketsu/latts combo i'd like to try. think i'll put tact. gunner and bossk on latts, 'caster title on ketsu. if necessary latts can make ketsu's attack -2 agi, then caster title plus ketsu makes latts' shot -2.
if latts somehow misses, she has a TL to potentially make her follow up shot -3 agi.
Am I the only one not seeing engine as a) being necessary and b) better than gyro targeting? I haven't played the ship yet so maybe I'm way off but g targeting seems super good.
