Urguk and Attachment Questions

By HPLustcraft, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Hello all!

When playing Urguk, how exactly does his extra power work? Do you just get as many resources as he has wounds or do you actually REMOVE his wound counters and use them as resources? This last seems a bit overpowered, but you never know, right?

Also, probably a much sillier question, but: Can you put more than one attachment on a unit?

Urguck spends wounds as resources, so they are removed as you spend them. Hence the combo of Urguck, Followers of Mork (cost 2-O), put both of the indirect damage from FoM on Urguck, then spend them to pop up another Followers of Mork essentially for free.

And no limit on attachments.

Hmm...Good to know! Unfortunately this will ensure that my girlfriend continues to kick my arse with her Orcs...LOL I'll just have to toughen up my Chaos deck!

FFG LCG's have a bit of reputation for crazy strong cards. Cards that in other games would be considered over powered or totally broken are simply par for the course with them. I forget this sometimes and then something like this or Shrine to Nurgle catches my eye, and I nod and smile.

SO many fun things to do with urguck. Cloud of flies,We'z bigga, followers of mork. Could even Poison wind globs your own urguck while he was attacking to play a tactic or something lol :]. Point of the story is he's one of my favorite cards in the game atm.

This part won't work, since Urguck's spending is limited to your capital phase (as per the wording).

i have a question regarding Urguk...
do i have to spend all my normal resources 1st before i can spend his wounds??? or can i choose to spend his wounds first??

Your choice, you can mix and match them if you want.

I don't get it... can you answer my questions in the example, please:

It's my turn, i'm in the capital phase. In my quest zone i have an Urguck with one damage token on it. On my hand are two Followers of Mork and some other cards.

1.) Can i put down the damage token and take one resource?

Now i play one Followers of Mork and each player takes 2 indirect damage.

2.) What means indirect damage? Can i put this damage to my units and my capital?

3.) Can i put the damage on Urguck? Do i get resources instead of damage?

#1: You spend 1 Resource from your Resource Pool and 1 damage from Urguck, thus paying the 2-cost for the FoM (Loyalty covered).

#2: Each player assigns and applies the damage how their wish. Any Unit(s), any capital zone.

#3: You assign the 2 indirect to Urguck. After indirect damage is completed, you spend the 2 damage from Urguck, paying the 2-cost for the second FoM.

And at least there are no damage token on Urguck, right? Thank you for the answer!

Well there could be damage on him if you choose to add 2 more damage to him with the second FoM at which point you can repeat what you had done previously and play something else with the damage from the second FoM.
