Hi there,
when I was browsing the old Star Wars D20 Revised Core Rules, I found the "Drain Energy" Force skill which allows to drain empty the power cells of items (not life force). I would prefer it as an "aura effect" which needs committed Force dices to keep it up.
This power could be (narratively) very effective for the enemy (maybe a Starweird) of the horror adventure I am planning for the next session. If you hear scary voices from beyond, the hallway turns dark and then you notice that your blaster has no more power left, you will start to panic.
What would you advice for the question in the title?
