Triple G-1A - First try on scum

By RogueLeader42, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Finally I have my three G-1A and tried to build a scum list.

G-1A Starfighter: · 4-LOM (27)
Crack Shot (1)
Electronic Baffle (1)
· Zuckuss (1)
· Mist Hunter (0)
Glitterstim (2)
Tractor Beam (1)
G-1A Starfighter: Gand Findsman (25)
Crack Shot (1)
G-1A Starfighter: Gand Findsman (25)
Crack Shot (1)
Z-95 Headhunter: Binayre Pirate (12)
Inertial Dampeners (1)
-- TOTAL ------- 98/100p. --
Any suggestions what to improve?

I love the G-1A! Looks like a cool list and a lot of fun to fly.

Looks like you have a couple of points to play around with (I don't think a PS bid is necessary, but if it is in your meta let me know). My go-to suggestion in the past would be Feedback Array on the Z, although with Wave 9 coming out you may want to plug in Black Market Slicer Tools (BMST) to take advantage of the stress 4-LOM is handing out.

If you're only taking advantage of the EPT slot, I'm not sure how much you gain from bumping up to the Gand Findsman over the Ruthless Freelancer (RF). The biggest strength of the G-1A is that every slot on its upgrade bar has a wealth of cheap, potentially undercosted, options. While most ships do have to use the EPT slot to get something worthwhile, I think you could drop down to the RF here and take a combo of system/crew/illicit that is at least as useful as crack shot and the PS bump, if not more. That's my opinion though, and definitely open to debate.

If you keep ID or go BMST on the pirate, you could fit in two RFs with FCS and Outlaw Tech. Haven't tried it yet, but focus/TL almost every turn after the first sounds pretty good. You could also throw in some tacticians plus more BMSTs to really hurt stressed out ships.

4-LOM's build looks good. I love electronic baffle on the G-1A, but given his ability and the fact that he's clearly the priority target, I don't know how useful it will be. If you can find the points, FCS and Advanced Sensors are both excellent options.

Thanks :)

I think ging for RF + Outlaw Tech (I really like the card) + FCS is a good idea.

I chose Gand Findsmen because I like the Gand ^^

But you're right. RF offers more options.

So you fly them in a relatively tight formation, yeah? Like a TIE Swarm. If you engage a small base enemy at Range 3, 4-L0M can use Zuckuss and Crackshot to pull them into R2 and make them easier to hit, at which point your other G-1As can hit them with Tactician for additional stress. If you engage them at R2, just fire away with the PS3s to trigger your Tacticians normally. If you engage at R1, 4-L0M can use Zuckuss to feed them more stress. As a result, if you can manage to keep things in arc, you're kind of dangerous at all ranges (in terms of dishing stress).
The stress will in turn help you keep your guns on the target without allowing them too many arc dodging actions in future rounds. The big trick will be getting trickier Imperials in arc for the initial joust, but 4-L0Ms stress shooting bubble can help with that a bit, if you fly well. Iono, might be worth trying.
