T-16 Skyhoppers in Operation Shadowpoint

I did a search of the forum on the question I have about this and did not see any threads. I am running a party through Operation Shadowpoint, and close to conclusion. They recovered the Skyhoppers in the New Toys seed.

Seems to be a bit of an issue here. Stock out of the box Skyhoppers do not have any weapons according to their listing in EotE. The ones in this adventure have a Light Laser Cannon front mounted on each of them. Now a Skyhopper is a silhouette 2, and the LLC is for vehicles of a silhouette 3 and up. Now I could see jury rigging said weapon to the vehicle, and seriously impacting performance, but listed stats on page 27 don't seem to indicate this. Still have a +3 on their handling and a top speed of 4.

Anyone want to help me square this? Seems like the writers missed on this just a bit. I know my party is going to want to keep these after this adventure completes. They take everything, and I mean everything, that is not nailed down with them after things wrap up.

It's possible that they Writer intentionally gave them the weapon for the sake of the adventure. I do not see harm in having them keep the skyhopper beyond the adventure. Unless they get a ship large enough to take them off planet, they'll only be useful while they are on Dantooine.

If it makes you feel better, replace it with a light blaster cannon.

The T-16 has 3 hardpoints, if you spend two of those you can mount an oversized weapon. Though to be honest, I have no idea why the thing even has sil of 2 and not 3 as it is on the rather large side and is not especially maneuverable either.
