900pts Game.

By player1130419, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Played my first 900pts game yesterday, it was truly epic, and felt like I had a true Armada to command and not just a small collection of ships. It was everything I own in my Imperial fleet.

I had managed to win first place and as luck would have it my opponent had selected Superior Positioning, which favoured my fleet quite well. I have some photos as the game progressed, just not sure how to post photos on this site.

It has been a long time since I fielded Tarkin, in such a large game it felt like I had to include him at the helm, his ability was vital to help secure my plans, which were to use my Squadron numbers to full advantage. I kept the 2 Imperial Star Destroyers at speed 1, so that they didn't receive much enemy attention, all the while the Gladiators and Raiders helped to take out the majority of Rebel ships. This was the first time using Assault Concussion Missiles, and I have to say they are simply amazing! They work so well on a Gladiator. Over all the game did take quite sometime, I think we stared at about 14.30 and finished at about 19.00. Either way it was a very enjoyable game, one that we both agreed is not something we'll do so often, but nice to know that the system can extend to such scale.
The final scores were Imperial 723 Victory Points and Rebels 305 Victory Points.
If anyone can help my post up photos and videos I'll post them up for people to see.
I highly recommend playing at least one game of this size or even bigger.

What size table did you play on?

I would have thought the smaller the table the greater the imperial advantage in games of such size.

Pics or never happened!

Throw your pics into a folder, go to postimage.com, adjust size to "Message Board", upload all your pictures at once, hit "copy direct link" on your first photo, leave that window and go back to the FFG forum, find the small Polaroid picture icon in the bar right above the text box where you type a post and click it, paste your link, and rinse and repeat for all your photos. It actually goes VERY quickly once you do it the first time and see the process.
