Denied

By Korban22, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hey all.

I figured I'd post a few of my squad lists to contribute to the forums in hopes that they help out other players.

Here's one I was particularly proud of. I dub it The Denied MK. III

Carnor Jax

Royal Guard TIE

Autothrusters

Stealth Device

Juke

Omega Leader

Shield Upgrade

Juke

Com Relay

The Inquisitor

TIE/v1

Autothrusters

Push the Limit

Proton Rockets.

Total cost: 97 points

The trick with this Squadron is simple: Deny your opponents every action and advantage they can get. Carnor Jax and Omega Leader both deny foes their actions and modifiers, but the key difference is in their abilities. Omega Leader affects those he has locked onto, and Carnor Jax affects those he's close to. To better maximize their effects, have Carnor flank the enemy from the side, then rush in and constantly take evade actions for Juke, and let Omega Leader take his time to set up for his ability, taking that evade action during the first round, and target locking accordingly to whoever he's closest to.

The Inquisitor's ability allows him to treat all of his laser shots as a range 1 attack, meaning not only does he get that extra attack die, but he also denies those who have autothrusters equipped. With the TIE/v1, every target lock you take earns you a free evade action, and Push allows you to boost, barrel roll or focus accordingly. The PRockets will help dish out massive damage in the event you do get close to an enemy, and his speed 1 green maneuvers help ensure that you'll always stay on your foe's tail while managing your stress and economizing on your actions.

Not to mention all of the pilots have a skill value of 8, meaning you'll most likely be moving last and attacking first, as well as having the option of activating whichever ship you want in any order.

Ha! That's nothing!

If you want to troll someone, here's the absolute 'NO FUN' list to play against:

Kagi w/ Sensor Jammer + Palpatine = 39

Jax w/ PTL, title, thrusters + TIE mk 2 = 32

Strom w/ predator, title & sensor jammer = 29

100

You can just waltz up to range one of an enemy and not care. In fact, your opponent wants to do anything BUT get into range 1 of these guys!

Don't expect to make any new friends flying it though, and PLEASE DO NOT fly it against players new to the game!
