Did anyone notice!?

With the 5th Dream Chaser pack what are you hoping for in terms of player cards?
What are you hoping for in terms of the scenario? We know it's a sailing scenario again, what else do you want to do on the seas?

Woo! There are still a lot of unspoiled cards in this pack, aren't there?

I'm hoping for the same thing I always hope for: more artifacts, doomed, etc. Even if I know we won't get any this pack.

More player cards with the Encounter keyword.

I don't actually know that it's a sailing quest. I think it's another defend-the-docks quest since we haven't used any of those cards from Grey Havens since that box.

Me too. I've been busy and still trying to get through the saga box.

Same boat (ha!)...Just finally beat Raid on the Grey Havens tonight. Really good deluxe box overall...Think I liked it even more than Lost Realm as far as quests go.

I think that the first quest stage is sailing and then after that perhaps it is naval battle without having to perform sailing tests anymore. Almost positive that there is definitely some sailing involved though... pretty sure we have a quest stage with the keyword sailing that has already been revealed.

spoiler and spoiler confirm whether or not it's a sailing quest. we also have spoilers for the last quest as well.

also, i'm excited for yet another spoiler and can't wait to see what those half-spoiled allies will do

I'm hoping for more Woodman characters!

How about woodwomen?

Entwives?

Entwives?

Ents are powerful enough as-is, and Entwives are one of few things even the Professor wanted left as a mystery, so it's hopefully never going to happen, but good dang that would be cool to see.

Eagerly waiting on my shipping notification from Team Cov

I was referring to 'woodwomen', but should have quoted.

It also occurs to me that there is no card for Thrain's Ring. Although if we go Northeast to Dale and Rhovanion in that next cycle after Harad, it may be a better thematic fit if we start seeing development of Iron Hill or Erebor Dwarves.

We need more rings in general. For a game called Lord of the Rings, there are far too few rings, especially compared to other Tolkien card games, where they had many Lesser Rings, Dwarven Rings, etc

This is an interesting line of thought.

I would bet money Caleb & Matt have considered this and have a rationale for not including them.

What rationale would that be? The Dwarven Rings might not appear because we know they were lost at the time of the books, but it'd be a reasonable strech for a card game to go there, as they have done already several theme breaks and inconsistencies which we're totally fine with because this is a card game, not the novels. And even if we don't get the Last of the Seven, there were several Lesser Rings in existence in Middle Earth during the time of the novels. Even in the podcasts the developers have mentioned them and they have quoted them in the game for years (back of the box of Celebrimbor's Secret, Elven Jeweler).

I stand fast by my opinion that the game has so far neglected without any good reason the themes of powerful/dangerous Artifacts in Tolkien's writings, which happens to be one of his chiefest themes when we consider artifice and the corruption it entails as our world's technology and scientific advancement. There's a reason both Sauron and Saruman were Maiar of Aule before they turned evil, and yes, the Elves and Men dabbled with these Arts with stuff like the Rings and the Palatiri (not to mention the Silmarils), hence I think there should be a portion of the player card pool that did as well.

Anyway, I think they should revisit these themes, as they already began exploring them in the Voice of Isengard box with stuff like Keys of Orthanc, The Seeing-stone and ally Saruman. So saying that the developers have some sort of problem with or want to avoid these themes isn't really true. To me it's more like they don't particularly care about it, when they should.
