Hey Dave, i was just wondering if you have any plans to make a card for the Arquitens class cruiser(in Dawn of Rebellion)? it seems like a really nice low level ship for the Imperials to use aswell as higher level support ships to throw at the party. I'm not sure what you're looking for in a picture but i found a few art works of the ship for your convenience.

Love your work by the way, its been very handy, and you've made pretty much everything i could think to use in my sessions.

Alright, there we go. 6 new capitol cards including the Arquitens.

Becuase each new file is based on the previous one, the second new file includes two ships also in the first new file. This is not a mistake so no need to point it out

If anyone can find suitable artwork for a ship I have not yet done, feel free to post it up and I can make a card

I can share with you a bunch of jpg representing vehicles, but I won't be able to tell whats what.... so if your looking for a generic picture to represent something that doesn't have any beside a book description or that you already know what it looks like but don't have a good picture, it may prove to be helpful to find what you're looking for

Generally, I plug the ship name into Wookieepedia to see if its an existant ship already, and see if they have an image.
I then google the ships name, and see if I can find suitable art that matchs.

In some cases, there is no image on wookieepedia to identify a ship.
Sometimes, its a FFG creation and doesnt exist anywhere else.
Sometimes there simply isnt any suitable artwork (There are line drawings, or black and white images, or captures from comic books that are not suitable).

Short of hiring an artist (cannot afford to), and then knowing what would be accepted by everyone (unlikely) it makes this difficult

I understand you as I'm doing the same and end up with the same situation... I just don't care if its an exact representation (of course if there is one acceptable artwork, i'll pick that over) as long as it reflects the idea. Most armor dont have representation....so i had to be creative when making those....searching accross thousands of pictures i had gatherer...thanks to the guy posting artwork here, that did increase my artwork pool

Hey Dave, I've discovered a few more vehicles you've missed, did you want us to send you the names and book if we find one you havent done yet? I'm sure there are some that you havnt done because of a lack of art but if we find art would you do cards for them, if not now then when Rise of the Seps is out? (ARC-40b from Savage Spirits ;& Caisson-class engineering troop carrier from Fully Operational are the ones i found)

There are many cards I have not done, becuase I cannot find suitable artwork.

As for the ARC-40b from the description and weaponry, I was under the impression it was just a lighter model of the ARC-170?

The issue with this image, is that it is neither tall enough, nor wide enough.

While I can edit in more background, the detail that would need to be replicated to maintain the 'scene' (the explosion on the left, the tie fighter at the top, and the legs and feet of the men at the bottom, is well beyond my ability to do so and result in something that looks halfway decent.

So, unless the original artist created a larger image that was edited down when it was put into the book, and unless that image can be found online (as some are), I unfortunatly, cannot use this image

I know you necessitate wider picture.....i do not know if that will be enought, but what i usualy do is i copy the picture, increase the canvas wideness, i paste the picture and reverse horizontally.....then i copy and paste again this layer and add them to each side of the original picture.....thus giving me something to work with.... Blur etc....Doesnt work with each picture but id say most of them......do the same vertically if need be....but not with this picture....i don't need as wide as you though...

Information Update.

I now have Rise of the Separatists and Collapse of the Republic in hand.

I am working on more cards to cover the ships in those books, that I can find suitable images for.

Most of the RotS ships are fine... I just need to check the stats, and sort out the images.
I am searching for images for CotR ships, and then need to construct and sort them into sets of 8 for publication.

AdSet2 (I think) has been updated, as I found an error on one of those ships. (The link SHOULD work)

If you find any errors, please let me know so I can fix them.

Going forward, a few questions:
Do you want the cards seperated into individual images, rather than in sets of 8? (There is a long complicated reason they are in sets of 8, but I am now in a position where i COULD make each card as 2 images (front and back))
Do you want a list of all the ships in the books, and which ones I have made cards for? (Which might facilitate people finding images for ships I have not done, and thus... more cards)

I have had a couple of questions about sharing my 'Photoshop or Illustrator' templates... I would... except they dont exist. I made my cards in MS Publisher. I am happy to create cards to order if you wish, and can provide suitable images.

Thanks for the update. I know that personally I would find more use for individual cards-as-2-images as these are easier for me to have printed, but depends on the majority.

This shouldnt be too much of an issue.

The last time I refined my template, I converted all cards to single pages (So that the front was one page, and the rear was one page).

I can then save the Publisher document as a PDF, and use an online PDF to Image converter to create each page as an individual image.

The issue is each image had a generic file name, so I would need to go through each file and triple check the information so I can rename them correctly (so you dont mix up the front and backs, and end up with TIE fighter weapon loadouts on an Xwing for example)

Its time consuming, but quite straight forward.

I didnt do this earlier, becuase one site I went to to get them printed, refused on copyright grounds.... so I simply left them as sets of 8 so you can go to your local copy shop.

Its mostly a time thing over anything else, but if you wanted to do the last half your self (Convert PDF to Image and sort)... well that would take a step out for me.

UPDATE

Rise of the Separatists cards are up (excluding capitol ships, they are coming).

File format is now single cards - this is quicker and easier for me, but if you want them in sets like the earlier cards, let me know.

Conversly, if you want the earlier sets as single cards, also let me know.

They are in PDFs at the moment... you can use an online coverter to convert the PDF to individual images if needed.
