House rules: allowing more epic points; and I prefer to treat each generic pilot as unique, to avoid spamming the same ship repeatedly.

Small ships: Roark with TLT; Gold with Autoblaster + R2 mech; Blackmoon E-Wing (for 3 pts more, I intent to try to fit Etahn in instead); Knave E-Wing; Rookie X-Wing; Tarn Mison + R7 mech + IA.
400pt squad
Basic battle plan: set up the Dutyfree side-on next to the corvette (also side-on) half a ship length back from Jaina's Light, but overlapping its rear. They will proceed rightwards, starting from the left corner. The Hawk, Y-Wing and both X-Wings will follow on. Straight 1s allow them to keep pace with the minimum move of the corvette (2 forwards). Meanwhile, the Bright Hope and both E-Wings will start from the right corner and proceed towards the rest of the fleet.
The intention is for the transports to give the corvette 3 green dice due to EM emitters if the opponents want to try hitting it. By the time that Bright Hope meets the others in the middle of the mat, it will be able to replace the (probably) destroyed Dutyfree, and be able to ram anything harrassing the rear, since it will be facing the other way; on the other hand, if the fleet is still intact, they can all turn into the middle or cross over.
Roark is simply there for his ability; the Y-Wing is cheap ablative defense; the X-Wings are to shoot anything trying to get in behind the corvette; the Transports are there to ram and also Jam & Slice. The E-Wings are an experiment: they are cheaper than untitled defenders, yet still have 3 red and 3 green dice - so they should survive better than X- or Y-Wings, and do a lot more damage than A-Wings (which struggle to land significant damage on dodgy Imperial Ties, or Reinforced huge ships, while also being fast enough to reposition and chase fast Imperials.
What do you all think? It is likely to work?!?
