Europe left behind as always

By Schyzo Kitty, in X-Wing

So how long we lovely people in UK/Europe have to wait for Wave 9? Amazon UK is still completely silent about any release date.

UK Amazon has never been particularly good with FFG supply. I wouldn't expect the street dates to differ much though.

I pre ordered my wave 9 ships from Chaos Cards and 22nd September is the date they are due but true UK dates can be pushed back a few weeks, you need to look beyond Amazon for ordering gaming stuff.

In the past releases were pretty simultaneously, a week off at its worst.

In Germany, a mail is circulating that claims calender week 39 (26-30/09) to be the release week of the German version.

Available in France next week, but the distributor have it since the end of August.

Europe is not "left behind", it's Amazon US that started selling too early.

Fun fact: the boat from China arrives in Europe first (Rotterdam or Hamburg, IIRC) and from there the American batch sails to the US. So Europe, technically speaking, has the product first ;)

You do realize that Asmodee has dictated simultaneous global releases now right? Nobody gets left behind, everyone has to sit on their hands until everything is distributed across the planet. Individual retailer delays are a separate issue.

Not just Europe. It's not here in the US, unless it just came out and I haven't seen it.

Europe being left behind ... you're so cute.

Yeah my local store has it all in on the 22nd.

We're not being left behind. Amazon is behind but that's nothing new. Local stores are still getting them the same date as everyone else.

But they have not told their distributors to follow through. ;-)

My FLGS still waiting for their Forged in Battle released on 8/18 … at least the X-Wing stuff is indeed usually faster avaible.

Wait, wasn't wave 9 released like a month ago??

I'm quite sure i saw a lot of pictures of people flying arcs and stuff lately..

Eh. please define "global". Brazil has received all of waves 1,2,3,4, the rebel transport and cores 1 and 2. Period. I'm still waiting for the glory of wave 5 (and onwards) and the Aces packs.

Meanwhile, we'll be having simultaneous releases for the SW Destiny dice game. The effin *collectible dice game*.

To be fair, the local distributor/localizer company did state last month that they plan on getting up to date with FFG's releases by next year. And has remained silent ever since. But, oh, cool, they organized a national tournament last weekend, ships from all waves accepted, so their own customers (as in, people who did not import ships) were at a huge disadvantage.

Welp. I need to be saving up money, anyway. And no, I won't import. Not only it's a lot more expensive (at least double the price) I'm too OCD to have cards of mixed languages in my collection.

It wasn't. The pictures you saw are from people that went to GenCon, where every visitor could buy one ship of each and I heard that the line was so long so you have to wait for 2-3 hours. So technically it wasn't a release, but a reward to GenCon visitors which paid close 100$ for tickets and I don't even count the trip cost and the hotel.

That's always FFG's line, though.

Awww...

Best wishes,

The WHOLE of Asia

The retailer that I'm buying from has just dispatched my order, with an estimated delivery date of Sept 21st... :)

(the last order I got from them even arrived a day earlier than estimated!)

Yeah the line was no where near that long.

Your an FFG customer how is this not a new thing for you?

Every one gets left behind

Unless you go to gencon :(

WOW 16 months and first post.

Where I get my stuff from online here in Australia has been pretty spot on for release dates and has Wave 9 for release on the 26th and HotR for the 28th.

My order for both is expected to be dispatched on the 28th so I am hoping it will all be here before the end of the Month. 11 New ships in total.

At least you'll be getting them, Asia won't be getting them from any FFG-distributor anytime soon, and the stuff is made here.

Disney licensing. :)

You actually should write a letter to disney and ask them about it and if they can fix it i.e. get the licence holders together and make a deal which profits all sides.

It's the 22nd in the EU. The UK still needs to work out a trade deal with FFG.

Amazon US never did get waves 3 and 4 for Armada. Just a few 3rd party sellers through amazon had those. So I wouldn't base anything on amazon. Also Amazon has yet to hand over my shadow caster to USPS, be interesting to see if It actually does show up tomorrow.
