I know that R4-D6 is a great droid, but what about using Elusiveness EPT on him as well?
It seems like it would be great.

You can't have both, Biggs needs R2-D6 to get an ept.
Elusiveness is an iffy card at best. Spending 3 points and giving up your astromech slot for it makes it even worse.

Oops.
Thanks.
I actually think R4D6 is kind of a crappy droid in a lot of lists. In a Kaanan list I would expect you to use it never. So some of the other droids, may be alternatives. The problem is that most astromechs are overpriced for the x-wing in general. Just like any modification feels like its overpriced because its not integrated astromech.
Elusiveness is good on precisely absolutely no one
In those lists, it's there for IA. In the off chance it triggers, it helps Biggs do his job better (which can't really be said of any of the other 1pt astromechs). The only real alternative is R2-D2 if you have the points.
R2-F2 maaaaaaay work in a Tact Jammer Jan/Jyn U-wing or VCX build meant to give Biggs two focus and an evade every turn. But that's asking for a lot to come together and at that point you might as well spring for R2-D2.

It's not horrible on Ibtisam.
Whats the next step up from horrible?
Imo, sure as hell aint "good"
Elusiveness is good on precisely absolutely no one
It does have some synergy with Ibtisam. Her pilot ability reads:
"When attacking or defending, if you have at least 1 stress token, you may reroll 1 of your dice." So you have the attacker reroll one of their dice. take the stress...then trigger Ibtisam's ability to reroll one of her defense dice.
Synergy != worth taking
Esp given the implications of a stressed bwing
Elusiveness is good on precisely absolutely no one
Not true, elusiveness is good on Ezra and I have a set of white regional dice that says its true.
Now I can't think of a single other pilot that it works on but with Ezra it allows you to use his stress ability for defense while only being limited to green maneuvers while you are actively being attacked. Other methods to stress him leave him stressed all the time so he becomes way more predictable.

But you want a cheap astromech on Biggs to feed IA. It is hard to find a better 1pt droid. R2-D6 with Adaptability is kinda funny as you can play Zombie Biggs but that is pretty situational and only really works against Black/Crack swarms and Brobots.
R4-D6 is there to be ejected and keep Biggs alive for one more shot. If his ability ever actually manages to trigger then that is just gravy.

Wow, that's a cool combo!
What do you think of this list?
Ezra Bridger (22) Attack Shuttle (20), Elusiveness (2)
Lothal Rebel (42) VCX-100 (35), Accuracy Corrector (3), Autoblaster Turret (2), "Leebo" (2)
Gold Squadron Pilot (24) Y-Wing (18), Twin Laser Turret (6)
Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)
If points are available i like stressbot on biggs.
He may only get one turn of shooting, but double stressing a PTL Ace is fun.
Less useful against Dengaroo or anything with Hera on it... but still, it's a nice '**** you' from the Forlorn Hope.
Edited by Stu35Yeah, elusiveness Ezra is one of the only things that gave me trouble on the way to making the cut at the Atlanta regional.
Autoblaster turret sorted that out.
Edited by nikk whyteElusiveness is bad. For two points you take a stress then re-roll a hit/crit. 50/50 that you get another hit/crit; if they have a focus token then it is 75/25 that that die ends up as a hit/crit.
Might as well not take an EPT, not receive the stress and save 2 points.
If the die couldn't be modified at all after it was re-rolled and the card was 1 point it might find its way in a few lists. That is still a big IF because of the stress and the 50/50 odds on an attack die.
I tried it once in a weird casual build:
Kavil: Elusiveness, TLT, Unhinged
Drea: TLT, Unhinged
Guri: title, Crackshot, AT, SJ
The idea was to fly Kavil and Drea together and let their accurate TLTs try and burn things down. When an attacker got close Guri would get in their face for the block and harass them. Elusiveness is on Kavil just to try it out; I figured I would only use it to re-roll crits once his shields were down to try and keep him healthier. Swarm Tactics easily be better to let Drea shoot at the same time.
against triple jump Ezra (elusiveness, autoblaster turret, Chewbacca) took a torpedo and then 10 or 12 2 dice turret attacks before he died. He can be incredibly tough and people underestimate him.
